Full kitchen renovation and expansion
I have attached some photos so that you can see the scope of the work that we did - we actually expanded into a walk-in closet and moved all our lighting and plumbing...it was a big job. They estimated 2-3 weeks and it ended right on the last day of 3 weeks and they started on the EXACT day we agreed upon 3 months prior. We ended up even having to leave some parts of the quote open because they did not know what they would find once the floor was up (in terms of moving the toilet across floor joists) but they put in a place holder of $1K and ended up only charging $200. Total cost for the job was lower than $20K (tile was excluded).
I honestly can not say enough good things about them. Brian works in the office and has a good show room so you can see the stuff first and Steve does all of the work except for tiling (another Brian does that). We asked 3 companies for quotes and they were very close to the lowest bid - once you decoded what actually was in the estimate and what was not. I would definitely still get three quotes but I would definitely make sure that Swan is one of them! I don't know how far out of Guelph they go though.
And yes - I promise you I have no family connection to them. I just wanted to pass on their name to some friends. They had actually been referred to me by my Dad since they had done a small job for him and I had heard a lot of good stuff about their work from a variety of people.
I hope this helps someone from getting burned on a bad renovation,
Dan
