I was on vacation and I couldn't reply Saturday.
I am kind a bit surprised with this ordeal.We shook hands on the kitchen deal in mid May and as per promise and the design the kitchen was delivered on time. One upper cabinet was modified to accommodate the beam (which renovator could not move). Other than that, every single cabinet was to the spec and the color chosen.
In the deal you were allowed $50/ sq-ft for the mid range granite or chakra beige Quartz (total came to $2500 for the counter). After cabinet installation, you asked one of my employee (whom you befriended ) and got some extra cabinets made for yourself (not the part of the deal) without my knowledge or approval.This was very unethical. When I came to know about it, my employee was asked either to collect $ from you or pay from his pocket.
The countertop you picked (again with my employee , not the one we agreed upon) is way too expensive. It is costing Aura $4400. you ware asked to pay for the difference. You met me personally early last week and requested to split the cost as you are paying from your credit card and your wife is pregnant. we agreed that you would pay $800 extra for the counter. On the day of counter installation, you were asked to pay the balance + the extra cabinets + $800, which you refused and demanded the extra cabinets for free. Later you were offered that Aura is going to refund you the cost of the counter and you can get it done from your choosing. Very clean and clear. You took this offer and the balance of the funds were left for you in the envelope last Friday. You met my foreman last Friday and did not take the envelope. Saturday you write a review blaming Aura as dishonest company and Sunday another review.
Today Morning you called me and I was unaware of the friday ordeal and I promised to call you late today. Few hours later I get the text from you saying that you agree to pay the extra.
Moving forward, I did try to accommodate you as much I could and do not wish to do business with you. But, also do not want leave you in a limbo.
You need to pay for the extra cabinets you got without my knowledge. You can deal directly with the countertop supplier please. He is very accommodating guy, your counter is already ready and he needs to get paid for it. Kindly call him and deal with him directly.
