Avenue Road Roofing

I noticed that most of the poor reviews are related to warranties. My roof is almost 10 years old and has started to show wear (e.g. curling and bald spots). I was told by the warranty inspector that my shingles were substandard. This was also affirmed by Doug Cochrane who explained to me that my shingles were from a batch when asbetos was removed leaving them "below standard". Now I am responsible for filing a manufacture warranty because Avenue Road is not taking responsibility for the product they chose and put on my roof. Although they will help me file the manufacture warranty complaint, both men have indicated to me that pursuing the manufacture warrantry is a long and pretty well futile process. So where does that leave me? They claim to have shingled over 40,000 roofs. Doesn't that make them the roofing specialists and yet they chose to use substandard shingles on my roof. Where is Avenue Road's responsibility in all this? Call them for a new roof and your message is answered quickly; call them when there is a problem and you'll be lucky if you can get hold of them. At the bottom of their webpage reads "delivering expert roofing".
