I've being dealing with Button's Heating for about 15 years. This past week I arranged duct cleaning and my annual hvac inspection through them. The duct cleaning service person (Mike I think) was extremely personable and seemed quite knowledgeably. He pointed out a few issues with the previous cleaning done by another company. Unfortunately, my hvac servicing didn't go quite as smoothly. Cameron successfully serviced my a/c, but couldn't get the thermostat to turn on the heat. He worked hard at it for a while and consulted with some of his colleagues, but couldn't resolve the issue. He finally had to call in the service manager Aaron. Throughout this whole time Cameron kept me informed of the difficulties and stayed professional the whole time. I appreciated his honesty. Aaron was able to diagnose that the problem had to do with the exterior wire from the a/c which had shorted out and partially fried the Ecobee thermostat and blown the furnace fuse in the panel. He said that it was a difficult problem to identify even for an experienced tech and as it turned out this was Cameron's 1st solo service call. A bit of a baptism by fire I'd say! Brendan came the next morning with a new Ecobee, did some rewiring and finished the furnace service. Everything is now running fine. Up until now I'd been very happy with the 'normal' service Buttons had provided, but now I truly appreciate the prompt and professional way they resolved my furnace problem. Total cost to me was the duct cleaning and a furnace filter. I remain a happy customer.
