Haet Pump and Air Handler

Can't say how dissappointed I am with this company (CR Martin). The crew was very unprofessional and required 5 call backs over a one month period to fix things and they still didn't do it all. What a let down. They left huge holes in my walls and ceilings, placed vent covers over runs that were never cut out, didn't finish insulting the ducts in the attic, left garbage behind and didn't even install what the contract called for. Highly over-rated reputation. I thought that by paying a premium I would be getting better quality in service and product. Well, the product is fine (Carrier 19 SEER heat pump and 3 ton air handler w/ Trane clean effects air cleaner) but the service, in a word, sucked! I know I sound bitter but the job was 'finished' about three months ago and it's still eating at me at the wringer I was put through with this company. Other contractors told me to be careful with this company but I took it for professional jealousy. I wish I'd listened to them. I'm glad I took pictures of it all.

Approximate cost of services:
$23,000.00

Company Response

We are shocked that a client can:

1. Post a fictitious name

2. Post a fictitious address

3. Post a fictitious time frame

4. Post rough-in pictures claiming to be of a finished product.

We beleive the customer is not familiar with what amounted to a normal construction/renovation schedule as follows:

1. The rough-in crew of sheetmetal journeymen install all the metal, fancoil and a majority of insulation and wiring.

2. A Refrigeration skilled crew install the heat pump, balance the system and complete the minor insulation and firestopping remainders.

3. A foreman is then sent to site to do anything and everything the customer requests.

4. A fourth crew of drywallers and painters is required to often make two visits to finalize these type of repairs.

This in all reality is completely normal when adding a complete ducting system into a 50 year old house that never had ductwork before.
