We bought a house that had some water damage in the basement. After getting a few quotes, we decided to go with Clarke's. Roy the sales rep came over and spent time explaining the job and how Clarke's had a different system then everybody else. Roy kept in contact with me via phone and email until the job was completed answering all of my many questions. The job was supposed to take 4 days but Jose and crew were done in 2. Jose's team was very impressive. They were efficient and clean. Hardly any dust or dirt could be found in the house. We were very pleased with their punctuality and commitment to a successful job.
The only comment where Clarke's can improve is there were a couple of occasions were there was a discrepancy/ miscommunication in the price. I spoke to Roy about them a few times, although very customer service oriented, nothing was modified. Even after the job was completed, one wall not worked on which was indicated on the plans, was apparently marked by mistake.
Overall a good experience with Clarkes. I'm sure I'll be happy during the next rain fall. Staff were all very easy to work with. I just wish prices and drawings were accurate to make the review a 10.

My basement leaked so bad we had to sing Anchors Aweigh every time we went down there. I got quotes from three basement waterproofers. All were within a few hundred dollars, but I went with Clarke because they were the only ones who did the inside basement waterproofing, and their price included a sump pump. They installed yesterday and it hasn't rained, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of their work. But I can give rave reviews to the way they did it. From the salesman to when the crew cleaned up - after themselves and after me - I have nothing but good things to say. When getting the quote, the system was explained throughly and in an understandable fashion. The prices were itemized in a way that made it easy for me to see how much I could save by scaling back certain options. I never felt the salesman was trying to sell me something I didn't need. He was very helpful in keeping me to my budget. And he thoroughly explained to me Toronto's sump pump rebate program, which I didn't even know existed. In the weeks leading up to my scheduled work, I had to call the office several times with dumb questions, as I was prepping the area myself (tearing down drywall, etc) in order to save money. I was never given a recording or the runaround. They always had the answer for me on the first call. Then, when Rob and his crew showed up - on time - they continued this policy of good and friendly and professional service. They were in and out of my house in eight hours, with minimum disruption. My basement is tiny, cramped and low-roofed, and frankly, I didn't do the best job of getting all the drywall out of the way or moving certain heavy objects. They never complained - they just did it themselves. They even hauled away the drywall I had taken down. And they didn't ding me with extra charges for any of it. They left my basement cleaner than they found it, and before they went, Rob took me through and explained the system to me patiently and thoroughly. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They were a pleasure to have in my house. If I'd known such a quality crew was coming, I'd have baked them a cake. I look forward to having them back one day to do the other walls of my basement.

We were experiencing a really musty smell, mould and general bad air in our cottage. After having a small waterproofing job completed by Clarke's on a townhouse we were purchasing we asked them if they could look at the crawl space at our cottage.

Let me just say that from begiining to end this was the most professional, courteous, consistent and enjoyable experience we have ever had hiring ANY contractor or trades to work on a property we own.

From our initial interaction with customer service through the installation to the quality assurance follow-up this company cleary demonstarted it's 100% commitment to the customer and DOING THE JOB RIGHT! When was the last time a work crew cleaned up thier work site at your house?? These guys treated the project like it was their mothers house!

Not only that, the crawl space waterproofing system installed has completely eliminated the dampness and mould and has improved the overall enjoyment of our cottage 100%.

We wpoudl reccomend Clarke's Waterproofing without hestitantion to anyone looking to deal with basement water issues.

I hired Clarke Basement to waterproof the interior of my home. David Bunn (sales) had reviewed in detail what was needed and was very thorough. He said that they guys would probably have to cut the drywall to be able to have access to the cold cellar but would have to wait to see. Prior to the scheduled date, I had requested if it all possible if they would be able to do the job in 1 day instead of the 2 days scheduled, but had to wait to find out.

On the scheduled day, Keith and the other 2 hard workers showed up as promised. They had put down drop clothes down the stairs and was very organized, right from the start. It was a REALLY HOT day and I felt really bad for the guys : ( They were really good troupers about it. The guys stopped midway through to show me the progress. To my surprise they didn't have to cut the drywall!! They had saved me the expense of having to get the drywall repaired!

Several hours later, they had come up to tell me that they would be able to finish that day and would have to work late. I was really happy to hear that as I couldn't take the next day as a vacation day from work.

Overall I was really happy right from the initial appointment for the quote, till the end result. I would recommend Clarke Basement for waterproofing! GREAT JOB!

I called Clarke Basement Systems (Markham Location, August/09) because I had a foundation crack in my basement and water was already penetrating through the wall. Luke and Darryl showed up right on time. They explained in detail what work they were going to do and how they were going to fix it. They were very professional and very clean in their work. I am extremely satisfied and would not hesitate to hire them again should the need arise. Well i must be honest and say Mak Of Toronto took the words right out of my mouth. A week project turned into 3 weeks. I scraped excess mess off the floor for three days after the first crew was here .I was not pleased with some damage that occured. We went to a lot of trouble to give the guys lots of room and good lighting. Not much else to say
