They took care of our belongings and were friendly and efficient. Reliable service from this company. I really appreciate not having to worry as the workers were moving our belongings. I highly recommend El Cheapo! Thank you for making what could be a stressful day very smooth and easy.

We moved yesterday with El Cheapo. We were beyond impressed with the movers - they arrived exactly at 9 am (the time they said they would arrive) and moved our three bedroom house in under four hours!! They were basically running up and down the stairs - I was blown away. They were also professional, friendly and easy going. I would highly recommend El Cheapo.

I hired El Cheapo the day before we moved. From the beginning Mike was very clear about pricing and policies and very friendly. On move day, the team that moved were super fast, responsible and always happy and friendly. It was amazing how well they handled a very difficult 3rd floor walk up move in like it was nothing.
They were able to maneuver some heavy pieces of furniture up a 15ft roof and get them into the place, when they were unable to get them around the tight stair wells. They accomplished all of this in miserable rainy weather and were very careful about protecting everything which was much appreciated. I highly recommend this place as they were incredible and so accommodating. Well worth the cost! Would have taken us days to accomplish what they did in mere hours.

The crew from El Cheapo moved us in 2 hours. We found them to be very organized and took care to make sure our furniture was protected. They were very upfront about the costs. We're very happy with their service.

Let me say first that we didn't actually use El Cheapo due to the type of load we were moving but Toby displayed amazing customer service - investigated what had to be transported and the shortcomings - outlined all of it. And provided other moving options for us. Prior to this, all the policies were provided; costing repeated and window of moving time complete with "heads up" calls re actual arrival time would be provided. All responses were quick and documented. Next move they will be at the top of my list due to the level of customer service they displayed (can't offer any moving experience with them though; this review is for their professional customer service).

On June 7, 2016 we had El Cheapo move our furniture from our 3 bedroom house into a storage unit. Firstly the 3 movers were great people, friendly and very accommodating, I believe they did try their best. When booking El Cheapo I gave the monotone guy on the phone a very detailed list of all of our furniture to be moved, there was nothing else added during moving day, yet the truck they sent was a small possibly 18 ft length and they had to make 2 trips which obviously cost me more. I assumed considering all the stuff I mentioned that they would bring an appropriate sized truck.
While moving furniture they were not very gentle, banging walls but I wasn't to concerned at the time because I was selling house and it was going to be re-painted. The furniture was wrapped so I assumed it would be ok. There was no way for me to check furniture at the time as it was packed tightly in the storage unit. However a couple of months later when it was time to move out of storage the new movers (who by the way had a 26ft truck that fit everything and more in 1 trip) pointed out a number of damages to furniture, they showed me as they saw in storage before they even moved it. Huge scratches on most of our bedroom furniture and dents everywhere. Very disappointing. As this is 3 months after the initial move I don't think El Cheapo will pay to fix all the damages. My opinion is they use small trucks and are not careful with moving furniture and you should watch them carefully when moving. My bedroom set as well as my childrens all have huge scratches/dings in them, very upsetting and disappointing. Would not hire again.

The moving day was very hot and humid. We appreicated the professionalism of the workers. They were very punctual, hardworking and skillful in moving big furnitures.

A bit suggestion: The carpet on the stairs were dirtied badly and I spent two hours to clean. It's better provide cover sheet or blanket during the work.

I've had two excellent experiences with El Cheapo, once when I moved here, and another from an in-city move. The name is somewhat off-putting, because they're not the cheapest, but they're very professional. I had matthew - and a partner (can't remember the guys name). Moved the condo which ended up being much more that we anticipated, and did it efficiently, and flawlessly. Friendly, no-nonsense, effective. The only thing broken was a vase I knocked over after they had left! I am never moving again (heard that before!) but, if I do, I will call them for sure.

I would highly recommend El Cheapo Movers. I have moved a lot around Canada and within Toronto and have used many different moving companies. They were by far the best I ever dealt with. The office staff responded quickly and politely during the quote and booking process. The price matched the quote. The movers were on time, polite, and incredibly efficient. They worked quickly but also very carefully and were obviously experienced. I have high standards and have never given a moving company a positive review before.
