The estimation is extremely high. All they really want it is your money. Avoid this company at all costs. We had one of their technicians to come and check the house out. There are lots of companies that have zero inspection fees (even though their quotes for similar jobs are the same) however with this one you have to pay $140 which they say they give back to you if you go ahead with the work ( they didn't ). The technician said all that linear gap where the front wall touches the roof has to be sealed with screening ( aluminum ) and silicon ( to cover the look ) and they said it will cost $1500. We managed to do the EXACT SAME thing by a roofer with $200. The roofer spent 4 hours, cut every single piece of aluminum according to the shape of the wall, screwed to the gap and covered up with silicon ( we left one hole open so that the squirrel could leave). So it would have been a major loss if we had gone with the $1500 job which fortunately we survived. Then we called this lady called " Danna " at their office, we told them about their unreasonably high quote and how we managed to do the exact same thing by just $200, but did not complain that much and said that we now want to go ahead with the work ( that one remaining hole). But she said you wont get the $140 inspection fee back because you used our knowledge !!! First of all its not my fault that i was smart enough to know that $1500 is unreasonably and deceitfully high. 2nd of all even if that is really the case you should have mentioned that to us at the beginning that in " that case " the inspection fee will not be given back, how was i supposed to know. 3rd of all there are companies that " give their knowledge " for free. 4th of all you cant throw unreasonably high estimates at the customer and when they don't want to go ahead with the expensive part of the work and just the small part of the work tell that, no, you wont get the fee back. This is pure dishonesty and i think it such think should be illegal. In fact i am taking this to a small claim court.

While I can understand your frustration with your comments mentioned above, unfortunately, I must point out we provided a service which you agreed upon. Our technician was sent to your home to inspect your roof to find the entry points and a quote was drawn up to rectify the issue. He thoroughly explained the program that needed to be put in place to solve your issue with squirrels and he explained our company policies. In order for our program to be sucessful, provide you with a 3 year warranty, and use the strongest material to protect your home from the squirrels, ICE would have to provide this service for you. It was your choice to go with another company and I hope you can understand we cannot warranty someone elses work. In order to proceed with the smaller part of the quote, ICE agreed to re-inspect the work the other company provided for you at no charge. We can appreciate your frustrations; however, ICE stands behind company policies and the formalities are explained thoroughly with each appointment.
