Lampert Renovations & Bath Liners

We had a stand-up shower installed in over 8 years ago, of which we were very happy with the quality of their work. We recently noticed a fixture had become loose and made a visit to their showroom (25 Wingold Ave.) to seek advice as our warranty had expired. After a consulting with Lawrence he assured that he would contact with in 48 hours and have a solution for us.

Lawrence honoured his word, contacted us within 48 hours with a solution we were delighted to hear.

Though our warranty was clearly expired, Lampert Renovations offered to fix our shower free of charge. Not to mention, a team wound be sent out to our home ASAP in Durham at no cost.

An appointment was scheduled at our convenience, technicians were on-time and courteous, job was done in 20 minutes and the team provided us with helpful care and maintenance instructions.

There is no doubt that Lampert Renovations is our "go-to contact" for plumbing and renovations.

Excellent job with no surprises. Appreciated that they did not try to "up-sell" us and even scaled us back when we suggested some rather needless frills for our small bathroom. Igor was meticulous with every detail and very pleasant to have in the house. We have found a plumbing company keeper.

I engaged Lampert about 20 years ago to renovate 2 bathrooms in my home. I was very pleased with their work, and when my ensuite in my condo needed renovations, I immediatly turned to Lampert. I was not disappointed. They started on time and finished within the promised time. Igor, a master craftsman, was on the job every day without interupption until it was finished. I particulary liked being able to select everything I required in their very extensive showroom, Also having all the items to be installed delivered to the job site before the work commenced made for an efficient work schedule. I was very pleased with the result.

Well judging from the various reviews on this site – ones I read before hiring Lampert to reno my bathroom and ones I’ve read since – more often than not, people’s experience with this company is quite positive, and that would have been my opinion to a couple of years back when they ‘finished’ my bathroom. The quote was fair, the work was done on time and the final product at the time (key phrase here) was great. I paid my final bill and we were good to go. Almost one week after Lampert packed up and left, the tub started squeaking, loudly, with every single step. Not believing this should be happening, I contacted Lawrence who sent over Tod to take a look and try to sort out the issue.

Fast forward 2 years… after going back and forth on this issue for months and months and months (it was indeed a full 2.5 years after they completed the work before I finally got some resolution) – Lampert blaming the manufacturer, the manufacturer blaming Lampert (and what they felt was faulty installation), holes being cut in walls, in the tub, the squeaking persisting despite it all, and me having to chase constantly – my tub was finally replaced along with a number of the tiles around it, and guess what? It doesn’t squeak anymore. Downside: the sliding glass door was reinstalled in reverse so it doesn’t glide as seamlessly or fit quite as well as it did the first time around and when I mentioned this the solution was to force it into place. This kind of work, unfortunately whatever was on the person’s hands when it did that has left seemingly permanent fingerprints on the glass that try as I might, I cannot remove.

So while I’d like to give a glowing recommendation, I cannot. I still don’t know if it was the fault of the tub or the installation but the fact of the matter is I spent 2.5 years addressing it, the person caught in the middle of the little tug-of-war those two sides were playing when really, Lambert should have just addressed the issue immediately (per their service guarantee) and dealt with the tub manufacturer on their time, not mine.

Our experience with Lampert was excellent from the time we came to the showroom. They offered one-stop shopping for all products and all contractors. They offer high quality products and meticulous work completed on time and on budget. We had 2 fully renovated bathrooms in 3 weeks. They looked brand new, and all we had to do was to put pictures on the walls for our final touch. We definitely recommend Lampert Renovations. It's a great experience.

Lampert have done work for us over a 25 year period in all the houses we've bought (about five) in Toronto. Any time we have a question they're happy to answer us. We keep using them because we like their no nonsense approach, reliable workers, and their prices seem reasonable. In 2012 they took out the old bathroom, including the bathtub, and made it into a walk in shower stall, with a new vanity for the sink. I provided the tiling for the floor but they installed it. I've already recommended the company to others.

I've had quite a few problems with this company, most of which I don't want to get into now. My main problem was the person that came to tell us what we needed to do for our renovation wouldn’t listen and he was very abrupt and short with us, which I didn’t like. When I questioned him he was antagonistic too. They also had to come back to put in the right tiles (one of us, I suppose, didn’t state explcity what we wanted and the wrong tiles were initially put in). There were also a couple of problems that can’t be fixed now. I would not recommend them.

There was a convention last year in Toronto where they had a booth and I talked to the person in charge, I can't remember his name, about my bathroom renovation project. They removed the bathtub and converted it to a shower and they also replaced the tiles and cabinets. The price was fair, the guys were clean, and everything was done on time.

They used to be located close to where I lived a number of years ago and then a neighbor had them to do their bathroom so I decided to give them a try for my bathroom liners. Their price was also in my ballpark. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Lampert renovated the kitchen and bathroom in my condo. The process of selecting materials was straightforward, the work was well done and completed on time, and Lawrence and Todd (and crew) were a pleasure to deal with. I received good value for money and I would heartily recommend Lampert to others.
