waterproofing complete house perimeter

I must say I'm a little disappointed with the 'after-care' we have received from RCC. When we needed to have the house waterproofed, we did what most of us do - look for a reputable company, find them, check for both positive and negative feedback. It looked like RCC was the one for us, having read the website, the explanations & many rave reviews, we decided to call them for a quote and go from there.
I was pleased with Rick's explanations of how things would be done, what was involved & included with the job - things like them removing a good portion of our walkway & that in the spring they could come & reinstall it (for a cost of course) but mostly because he had to explain everything to me (my spouse couldn't be there that day) Rick didn't make me feel 'unintelligent' as many sales guys do to women! (kudos to you Rick!!) After everything was said & done, and my spouse called to confirm all the details...we decided to go ahead.
RCC came and started the job (I think it was December 2011) but unfortunately one of the service companies seemed to have forgotten or overlooked one little wire!! Needless to say that the excavator found it and managed to damage the stucco on the house! (one 2 foot vertical 'tear' on the side of the house). Work was halted for a bit while the crew assessed the damage & what they needed to do. We were reassured that someone would come & take a look at the stucco and they would have it looked after...turns out the job wasn't so 'cost-effective for the stucco company as he asked if there was any other work he could do to offset the cost of his material (it's unfortunate the quote was a little pricey considering the money we had just put into the house...) we declined the additional work, but were left with the message that this would be fixed in a week or so. - it STILL hasn't been fixed! and we're April 17th, 2012 !! (against my spouse's better judgement I paid the bill !!)
I believe it was sometime late February or early March I contacted Rick for a follow-up to the stucco repairs - I needed to explain the situation again and that at the end of the initial job, Bruno reassured us that someone would be coming to fix the stucco but no one had been to the house yet. I was told that Rick would have someone come over again but probably wouldn't be able to fix it during this time of year, most likely when it's nicer - I agreed and asked to be kept posted of the outcome...I haven't heard from Rick since.
Now, about a week and a half ago, Chris calls to see if we still wanted them to come and reinstall the interlocking walkway and that they could come the following week. Great! no more mud. The installation took a day, again against my spouse's better judgement I thought that we should pay the bill as the issue about the stucco came up again and once again Bruno reassured us that someone would be over 'tomorrow' - all we found was a business card in the door and no fixed stucco.
The only thing we didn't really understand and maybe it was wrong of us to trust what we were told..it why leave the fill-in sand (which has quite a bit of larger pebble type stones) to be washed away from the rain? as we've been told > wouldn't that scratch the interlock ?? just saying.
- Don't get me wrong, we were very pleased with the work done & the crew, Bruno, Chris and Rick too. They did great work ....it's the waiting for a resolution to the problem that's getting old quickly. We would probably recommend RCC to friends.(my spouse has since 3 times & it looks like possibly 2 out 3 will be getting some work done)

Thanks for the business and you have no worries about trusting us. I am sure thats why you hired RCC in the begining. Our office on top of your repair.Howver it needs to be done right. Its a small above grade stucco repair that needs warmer temps to complete. We are not in the stucco business so we have hired someone to repair. They have insured us that it will be done very soon as weather warms up and that it would be by Mid May latest. Rick and Bruno have been on top of your project. I have no worries. RCC is always makes good. Feel free to call me to discuss if you need to.

Waterproof my house

After discovering a large puddle of water in one room of my basement and a section of mold on the carpet in another room, and after determining that there were no internal causes for the moisture, I began calling foundation repair and waterproofing companies. Through this process, I discovered that my foundation had two leaking cracks - ones that were not suitable to repair effectively from the inside. Of the six companies that I called and the four companies that I met with, I was the most impressed with RCC. The estimator was helpful, honest, and knowledgeable, and the price quoted by RCC was very competitive. I checked into their company history, looked up their record with the Better Business Bureau, and read the reviews on Homestars. These confirmed my positive impression of RCC and I hired them to repair the two cracks. It was originally estimated that the work on both sides of the house could be done in a single day, but complications with the location of the cracks (one located beside a gas line and one located beneath a thick poured concrete patio) required extra time and care, with the result that the work required a second day to complete. The two-man crews who were dispatched to do the work (a different crew on each day) were both very impressive – I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly they were. They were very nice about explaining things to me when I had questions or wanted to watch what they were doing, they were very hard-working and were clearly skilled at their trade. I was amazed that they were able to do such back-breaking and dangerous work in difficult weather conditions while maintaining their enthusiasm and being so pleasant. My compliments to both of the crews who came to work at my house. The price that RCC quoted at the outset was the final price. Even though the work took longer than expected to complete, there was no extra charge. I was reluctant to leave this review so soon after having the work done (the work was just completed a week ago), because I won’t know until some time in the future whether the repairs are truly effective. We just had heavy rain for two days, and so far so good. I will revisit this review in a few months time, and will revise it if necessary. In the mean time, I am pleased to recommend this company

Basement waterproofing

We invited three waterproofing companies to quote on our repair needs. We decided to use RCC based on the professionalism of the sales rep and his presentation. He was able to answer every question we had in a clear and easy to comprehend manner. He was polite, intelligent and tidy. When it came time to do the work, the crew was equally professional and efficient. They made sure every detail was covered and they left the work area very clean. It's rare that a contractor surpasses expectations these day but RCC did just that with our basement leak repair. I reccomend them to anyone looking for a professional result.

Waterproofing basement

At the beginning, we were very satisfied with RCC and the personal attention and the work they did. They waterproofed our Storage room in the basement. They completed this job in the time they had quoted us and at the price they quoted us. Very friendly guys that worked on the house. One was even came during a very difficult time for him -death in the family. We told them we would wait but they wanted to continue.

Once the job was finished we were happy with the results until it started to leak again. They came back to look at the work and noted that it was leaking from a different area. This frustrated us as this was why we hired them. They said they would fix it but they never did, We followed up with them a couple fo times and never heard from them again, almost two years later no word from them. We haven't had much of a leak because we fixed the downspout outside.

They started off really well but ended poorly!

waterproofing of a leak of my basement

The salesman was straightforward with all his information and whatever he quoted us he came through with. It took a little while for the service but the workers especially the employee Dominic went out of his way to be courteous , thorough, safe and made sure that everything was left clean so that it wuld not endanger my family outdoors specifically my dog who spends time outside. They call back right away, reliability is a rarity in today's workforce. Bravo.

Waterproofing

I had an estimator come and quote me on the job in 2010. He claimed that they would dig on the outside of the home 7 feet across and that should solve the problem of the leak in my basement. It resolved nothing. I called the company and the same salesperson came out again. He claimed that the leak probably came from a different spot on the same side of the house and wanted to charge me more money to dig elsewhere. I asked him, without knowing exactly where the problem is, why did first and pray that you found it, and CHARGE ME!!!! He claimed there is no way to tell as we are drywalled on the inside. The drywall is ruined anyway, and in my mind if that was an issue, he should have checked from the inside. I spoke to the owner for a discount on redoing the job. He knocked off $200. This was last September. I hesitated over the winter and decided, what the heck, I need the job done, called them back, and the discount I fought so hard for (because of their error!!!!) was renegged. The salesman claimed that was last years quote and he was no longer able to honour that quote. I would NEVER do business with them again and would rather pay someone more honest. I will check this website for a more reputable company.

Waterproofed back wall

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

RCC recently came to my house and waterproofed the back wall. I dont know much about waterproofing but the sales person answered all my queries. I was quite impressed and appreciative that he took the time going over the work that needs to be done and on top of the waterproofing job, mentioned several things i should keep an eye out for. Overall, the crew came and did a nice and clean job. They also seemed very knowledgeable and answered my additional questions. All in all, I am very pleased and grateful with the service and work I received. I would recommend RCC to anyone!

Water Proofing

RCC waterproofed one side of our house prior to us purchasing it. When we moved in the basement started to leak and we had to water proof the remaining three sides of the house and found out that RCC didn’t hook the weeping tiles to a drain, it was full of mud and we have it all on tape. Clearly they did a fraudulent job by not connecting the tile up to the drain, disregard for the prior homeowner and not willing to admit fault to the new home owners who were the proud owners of a warranty that meant nothing. I would not recommend them to anyone and truly regret that any work was done by them. Live and learn.

Company Response

RCC preformed work on 1 wall of this home for a previous owner. This wall has a transferable guarantee of 20 years on the wall that was waterproofed. The new homeowner requested a refund of this work as they wanted to waterproof the rest of the house. They are in dispute with previous home owner.
RCC is here to service all and any work it performs.
