Student Works Painting

We hired Justin and his team to paint our house at the beginning of June. We should have considered the first red flag, when he told us he'd drop by to sign the paperwork and didn't show up. We phoned him, and all he had to say was that he was busy and he'd drop by sometime the next day. He showed up a mess, in sweats, took our deposit, and said he'd call us sometime later in the summer. We waited, and waited... finally we called him in July to find out what was going on. He told us they could start the next morning. So I stayed at home and waited, and waited... and nobody showed up. No phone call either - we had to phone him, and we got more excuses. At that point we'd had enough and told him to forget it. Since the $500 deposit is stated in the contract as being for "reservation and materials," we've been fighting to get it back. We were providing the paint, and no date had ever been booked. The company seems to be doing all it can to avoid giving us back our money. It's a good thing we only gave them $500 and not the full $2200. If you're looking to get painting done in the Brantford area, call someone else. This guy has no idea what he's doing.
