No major renovation is without headaches, and I write this review acknowledging that I was fed up by the time our project was finished. Following a flood, my husband and I gutted our basement and hired SQRC to renovate it. This included lowering part of the floor, structural work, plumbing, electrical, flooring, framing, new stairs, drywalling, painting, you name it. Florin was decent to work with; he has a child-like spirit and a good sense of humour. Some of his employees (or sub-contractors -- it was difficult to distinguish) were great, others weren't very impressive. By the end of our long project it seemed like some of his best workers had moved on. Many days there was just one lone worker who was apparently a jack of all trades and master of none. One thing that Florin did very well was to schedule the individual tasks; I just wish that the workers/sub-contractors he hired were able to live up to the "superior quality" name. Overall the reno looks great, but when you begin to study the details you see evidence of sloppiness. For the large amount of money we paid, we had expected the finishes to be closer to perfect.
