unfortunately there are too many dishonest, unlicensed, uninsured, and unqualified technicians who decide to advertise on kijiji or Google and there price usually convinces budget
conscious customers to hire them , we have customers who have let a so called technician in their house and it turned out to be an ex-con casing the house. And later came back and robbed them, that's why the city requires a city license and a picture ID. You also can be sued if the technician doesn't have WCB coverage and hurts himself in your home. We are fully certified, qualified, insured, and licensed and have been since 1995.

I'm happy for you,this consumer grade laptop was inherently sensitive to overheating, next time it would be advisable to bring it in when it starts failing, usually these laptops suffer catastrophic main board failure when used for extended periods without proper servicing, I'm glad we were able to save this one even though you used it in this state, I recommend anyone purchasing a consumer grade laptop which means a laptop purchased in any big box store as opposed to a business laptop from a value added reseller VAR which we are , to pay particular attention to warning signs like small failures and bring it in or at the very least call a tech at 403-274-5190 for advice.
