Replacement of 2 skylights & repair of damaged interior

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

We asked Skylights Unlimited to give us a quote to replace two damaged/leaky skylights. We had seen the company working on a neighbour's skylights, and the neighbour was happy with their services. Owner Denis Charron came promptly to give a quote. His explanation of the work required was remarkably clear and detailed. The work itself was done in a timely manner, workers were unobtrusive, cleaned up at the end.
Denis Charron had told me that the new skylights would reduce the heat gain on the top floor of the house. Indeed, he is correct, we are pleasantly surprised at how much cooler the top floor of the house is even on a hot day. Denis' prediction about our AC working better after the new skylights now has come true!

Approximate cost of services:
$3,600.00

Company Response

Thanks for your feedback, Sunita. We know that it can sometimes be confusing/overwhelming for someone to decide on which skylight to get and which company to go with. That’s why we like to be as clear and concise as possible when giving a quote and explaining a job. Our clients say time and time again “now my AC works upstairs,” but hearing this never gets old! With this great information, now other homeowners will have some help in making the right choice for their skylight needs. All the best, Sarah
