Window Choice

My wife Lorrainne and I have used Window Choice (Niraj's firm) for multiple projects over the past 10 years. We could not be more satisfied as he and his team of installers are nothing short of professional and diligent. Their attention to detail and moreover their overall customer service is second to none. We have also recommended Niraj and his firm to our family and friends and are happy to report that they are more than pleased with the level of service provided. In today's day and age it is practically impossible to find a competent window company that not only delivers an excellent level of service but a great product to boot. Window Choice can truly be referred to as a "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH" as we believe that they have so much untapped potential just waiting to be discovered by their clientele.

We were recommended by one of our friends. We called Mr Niraj and he promptly visited us. He checked the existing windows and gave his recommendations. He was very patient in answering our questions. After we placed the order, the installers contacted us as per the schedule and came to fix the windows. The whole job was handled professionally. We are happy with the services and would gladly recommend Window Choice.

The sale consultant Kien was friendly, honest and great knowledge of the windows that will work for my house. He explain the process of the installation and how long it will take for the completion of the project. The installer Serge and father was excellent. Clean up after the job was done. I would highly recommend Window Choice any day.

My house was built in 1994 with wood frame windows. After many years of sanding/painting/priming it was time to replace 15 windows and patio door. I had 4 quotes, James MacKay provided the one that was was most cost effective. Windows were replaced in March 2014, but I wanted to get through a summer and a winter to make sure I was happy with them and there were no issues that arose before reviewing. Immediately I noticed a reduction in the outside noise that we could hear in the house, it is *so* much quieter. I do not have A/C so windows were opened and closed all summer with continued smooth operation. Screens removed easily for cleaning, athough screen material does not appear to be overly durable. I was very specific with what I wanted, emailing James several times with questions for clarification and things went smoothly. Once windows were ready, installers worked steadily and when they were finished in a room, I did not even know they had replaced the windows they did such a great job cleaning up.

I did recommend Window Choice to a friend last summer and they had their windows replaced. I believe there were issues with the person who measured for installation arriving without an appointment when the owners were at work and only family guests in the house. My understanding is the person measuring for installation was very persistent at gaining access to the house when the owner would have preferred they come back another time when the owners were home, and my friend made a point of telling me how upset they were by this. The installer had casement windows installed on my friend's covered porch where I might have put hung windows so the windows do not interfere with people sitting/moving around on the deck, so do be careful that you give thought to how you will be using the space and what windows will work best for you, because that is something I would have been very disappointed with. Also, I do not recall receiving any follow up after, which would have been nice, but I know where to reach them if I need them.

We had our doors installed Nov 2012. WC was the winning quote based on the product and follow up of the sales team. Unfortunately the final product delivered and installed was not what was ordered or quoted. We had some other issues with the doors that were to be fixed that have never been fixed. The manufacturer that WC ordered the doors from built the wrong doors. WC choice installed then and after we noticed the issue WC offered us a discount that "would cover the cost of the bottom panels". We didn't want the $, we wanted the doors we had ordered and were quoted on. The only way to fix them was to take them back to the factory and have them made correctly. WC took the easy route out and gave us no choice but to take the $ or they do nothing. Their customer service was terrible. I do not believe we were wrong to ask for the doors we ordered and reject the $. We ordered a specific doors and was quoted on those doors, but they were never delivered. The products were fine expect they were wrong, the original service and follow up immediately after the install was also fine. The reason for the poor rating is the customer service that followed when we tried to get the door we ordered. Be very careful and ensure they deliver what you ordered because if you don't they will not fix it.

Searching for the right windows and doors company was not an easy task. We got quotes from four different companies including Window Choice. In general, the sales persons from three of them were very helpful, and answered all our questions. Window Choice’s project consultant, Kien Luu, was very friendly, offered to us several alternatives, and explained the financing options available. We decided to go with the vinyl package since the window’s frame looks very clean and does not require any painting. In a nutshell, the process of the quote was very straightforward, and we had time to compare this solution with the others before taking the final decision. After we signed the sales order, the installer came home as promised to do the final measurements. Two weeks before the windows were ready, we received the phone call from Choice Window to schedule the day of the installation. The windows were ready and installed as scheduled. Mirko (I hope his name is written correctly) did a great job. The old windows were removed quickly, taking care of the debris caused by the removal. When they installed the first window casing, we noticed that it was not the one we had chosen; however, it looked great and we decided to keep it. Anyway, Window Choice would have replaced it if we had asked for it. In the exterior, they did an excellent job with the caulking around the windows making them looking very clean. We are happy with the product and the job done.
Some tips:
1. If you have the chance, visit Window Choice office to know more and see their showroom. It is worth it.
2. Ask the project consultant to write down ALL the conditions that you’ve agreed upon, for example: you want to keep the existing blinds (if that’s not possible, then you must know from the beginning so you know the impact); the type of casing; if the frame around the window is wood, then keep in mind that you will have to paint it or pay for it, so make sure it is in the quote if Window Choice will do it.
3. Get the area/rooms where the windows will be installed ready for the day of the installation: move furniture, plants, and anything that can interfere with the work around, so they have space to do their job

My first experience with Window choice was a telephone conversation with Niraj requesting for a quote. From that day until today ( after a year ), every experience I had with them is exceptional. Besides a good product for a reasonable pricing and their trouble free installation, what amazed me was their after sales. When another kitchen contractor damaged the window frame and I reached out to Niraj for help, he responded instantly by replacing the part at no cost. To me that's a testament of their focus on their customers. I would recommend Window Choice to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy company.

Window Choice were highly recommend to us by a friend. Niraj the owner/partner came over to our place. Inspected the windows and patio doors making the necessary recommendations. He provided a quote right away which we accepted as we were aware of the prevailing market price thru friends who had their windows done recently. Window choice were competitive.

A time and date was fixed for the installer Zoran to come over and take the exact measurements, so was the date of installation.
Everything went clock work and to plan, no heartaches and frustration. Zoran executed a clean and good job.

Niraj is a wonderful person, he and his team our through professionals.
I would gladly recommend him and the company without any hesitation to any friend or person who asked of them.

Window Choice was highly recommended to me by some fellow friends. The estimator was prompt, informative and presented many options to myself and my wife. We also checked references and they were all positive. So we decided to move forward. The installers were prompt , professional and took care in their work. Even after all was installed and little adjustments to the window closures were needed on a few windows, the company returned and adjusted all fine. We are very happy in the quality, value and workmanship. Another happy client for sure. :-)

This review is a little overdue but I just recently discovered HomesStars and thought this review was due. James and his team provided quality windows, patio door and custom sized door at a reasonable price. The work was done on time, on budget and no mess left behind. James was able to secure the gov't rebates just as they were ending and was came back to fix some small damage to our front door that WE caused at no charge. I will not hesitate to call James again to quote on our next job.
