Limcan Certified Heating And Air Conditioning

Our finance broke down in mid March and we needed a new one fast. We called service experts and they came out that evening. They then came out and installed the furnace and AC. There was 4 guys and then our sales person came with the owner. They wanted to come and inspect the work the workers did. This gave us such a great sense of relief that they would go all that way to first make sure everything was installed properly, they cleaned up any messy and that were happy with the work.
I would recommend this company to anyone needing to get service done or need new ones

Company charged $517.00 for 15 minutes of labour to replave a part I learned on the internet was only worth 50.00. I consider this to be absurd and taking advantage of a senior during a heatwave on July 14, 2011.

During the winter, our HVAC system was not working properly. We called Limcan, and found the call service very professional, and current. I was very hopeful this woud translate into professional, modern service. We couldn't schedule anyone for a day or two later.

A technician turned off one piece of equipment, and warned our heating costs would rise. For approximately the next two months, our heating costs were tripled. So, using our own judgement, we turned the equipment back on, and everything worked just fine, and our heating costs went back to normal. We had no further problems heating our home.

Late spring, we noticed the AC was not working well. Again, we called Limcan (now, The Service Experts), and they scheduled an appointment for the following day. The technician was not here long, telling us we needed a whole new system. Minimum fee would be about $2,000 to diagnose and repair the problem, but could cost as much as $8,000.

A short time later, we opted to call another HVAC company who sent out a technician that afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as being low on freon. He checked for leaks and topped-up the system for a few hundred dollars. He dramatically differed in opinion from the Limcan / The Service Experts technician, saying our system was actually in great shape, was very powerful, and should last us well for another decade.

We suffered some time with sleepless nights due to hot, humid rooms, based on the Limcan / Service Experts technician's recommendations and cost estimates. One call to another HVAC company, and we had AC working immediately, and it has been working fine, ever since.

In short, not only would I not recommend The Service Experts (formerly Limcan), I'm left a bit annoyed we were never offered any options, other than to replace the entire system. When I think how close we came to wasting all that money, based on their recommendations, I want to spread the word far and wide.

I would not recommend The Service Experts (formerly Limcan Walker).

We called [another company] twice to get repairs done - no response - one call to Limcan and they were there within the hour. I would certainly use the company again
