We engage Reiner the Reno Coach for a major and challenging kitchen reno. He patiently worked through our needs and with our contractor to arrive at the best possible design keeping both our needs as well as future resale value in mind. Given that a contractor will generally do what you the client ask him to do, it was extremely valuable for us to have someone to save us from ourselves!
Being independent and not affiliated with any contractor, the reno coach is a much-needed service in the Toronto area and we would recommend without any hesitation whatsoever!

- Dont rely on your contractor alone for the best advice. Having an experienced and independent professional is great value for money and will likely represent only a small portion of the total project cost (maybe less than 3%?) - dont skip this step!
