We recently had Jeff refiinish our seventy-five year old dining room table, sideboard and china cabinet. He also repaired and refinished a small drum table. The result is just amazing and beautiful, and he did more than we expected. He is a perfectionist, and it shows. I would highly recommend his company to anyone who is looking for excellent workmanship. He's also easy to talk to and is very knowledgable.

My midcentury modern dining set is a bit of Canadian history. Russpan has come back in style after years of being banished to the hinterlands of garages or basements. Now when these sets can be found they usually have had a hard life. It shows in the cracks, warping, scratches and chips in the wood and veneer. My set was no different. Jeff was able restore my furniture to a condition that I didn't think possible. I am sure that the new finish is better than that of the original.
While not inexpensive, if you have a piece of furniture that you consider worth the investment, I would highly recommend having Wood Specialties work their magic.

Just picked up an old antique trunk Jeff refinished, as well as 4 teak chairs he had recovered and two damaged drawers for the matching teak buffet. What an incredible job he and his guys did. Attention to detail far exceeded any expectations we had. Jeff and his team did an amazing job of refinishing my antique dining table, chairs and sideboard. I am very particular, and did alot of research. Jeff was very professional, responsive, and was willing to see the pieces in person. Everyone, including myself, is amazed by the workmanship as well as the transformation, as the pieces were in very poor condition. Wood Specialities restored my antique mahogany dining table. The table was well used and had seen better days. Jeff suggested a stain, repaired and refinished the table top, fixed the legs as well as the leaf - which was not sitting properly. The table is once again the center of attention in my dining room.

We had an oak dining set that was twenty five years old. After refinishing it was perfect. Jeff took extra pains to ensure that we were completely happy. When I wasn't sure if the colour of the stain was right, he made an extra trip to our home to make sure that my wife and I agreed that it looked right in the light in our home.

The refinish work improved the appearance dramatically while leaving enough of the patina of age to make it feel like it was still the familiar set.

Jeff came to my house and took a look at my 2 antique telephone tables that had definitely seen better days... One of them was in pieces and the other was whole but in very poor condition. Jeff got back to me with in 24 hours (like he promised) and told me the cost of restoring the 2 items. (His quote was half of what I had received from another person earlier!) I took him up on his offer and he promised to pick them up from me and drop them off as I was on his way into the shop! WOW!!! He told me that they would be ready for me in about 3 weeks and he took a sample of my flooring with him to match the colouring as per my request! Well with time to spare, my tables were delivered and I couldn't have been more pleased! They were restored to a better condition than my childhood memories of them! He said he wanted to use the pictures on his site to show and you can see for yourself the transformation! Great service, friendly, and reasonable.

I has some damage to the finish of a table top and needed to figure out if it was best to repair it or refinish the whole thing. Jeff provided a couple of options with associated costs so I could decide which way to go.

They provided an on-site repair. They did such a good job anyone I show it to cannot see where the repair was done.

Another great services was being able to deal with them online. I sent over pictures and a description and Jeff was able to work form that. Great when we have such limited time these days.

I would recommend their service and use them in the future.

I had an antique table that was very unstable, the legs were loose and one 'foot' had detached itself. Jeff came to my house for an estimate, and then fixed the table on site over the next few days. He did a fabulous job at a good price, and it was great that he could get the work done so quickly. Granted it was a small job, but he was clearly very knowledgeable and I would recommend him for any repair and refinishing work.
