I had a truly terrible experience with this firm. I reached out to them to ask about redoing polymeric sand between my flagstones in my backyard. I wondered if it was worth doing as I wanted the sand to last longer this time. When vying for the contract, Ohad was very responsive and told me his firm would do it "properly." He also encouraged me to pay extra for levelling to better ensure the longevity of the job. He send Michael to do the two day job and initially all seemed fine. The first day on the job I received a message from Michael saying he should level the ground and that would cost another $300.00. I explained to him that levelling was included in the contract price and he said it wasn't. I'll get back to that later. Michael always came in the late afternoon and worked into the night as late as 10:30pm by torch light. On the second night he "finished." The next morning I woke up and the yard looked nice but I could see that NO hardening of the polymeric sand had occurred. I have worked with this material before and it hardens within a few hours and then fully hardens. I reached out to both Michael and Ohad who told me to be patient. I also found out that Ohad had charged me the full price of the job and the extra $300 without even checking with me about the job. Not a single call or e-mail to see how I felt about the work. Five days later the sand was still not hardened and was very obviously defective. Eventually Michael came by and acknowledged that the job did not at all succeed and realized he was going to have to dig it all up and start again. He would send me texts saying he was fixing it out of the kindness of his heart (?!) Seemingly not understanding that the defectiveness of the initial job is his company's responsibility. Eventually three weeks later the job was redone in a satisfactory manner although I had to point out to Michael that the middle of the patio was NOT levelled and water was pooling and flooding there when it rained. By this point, however I was so frustrated with the company that I just wanted to be done with them so I have left that unaddressed as he would have had to dig that up again and I couldn't stand the thought of delaying completion of the job. Despite many communications with Ohad who NEVER came to see the job or speak with me about what actually happened on site and only took Michaels words (which were often untruths) about the job, he refused to refund me the $300 for the double charge for levelling. Michael sent me multiple texts over weeks acknowledging he owed me $300 and promising to e-transfer me with ongoing excuses and finally I have contacted Mastercard to file a complaint for breach of contract. I have never written an online review in my life but this experience demanded it. Do not hire this company if you want leadership that oversees jobs and ensures honesty and efficiency. Both the owner and Michael constantly complained about losing money on the job as if the first attempt that was a complete and self-evident failure (the sand was defective in some way) was not their responsibility. Ohad can write whatever he wants in response to this review but know everything I have written is how it actually fell out. In the photos you will see the sand that didn't harden after multiple days as well as the pooling of the water in the centre of the yard. To this day, Ohad tells me to send him photos of the job and "tell me what's not great about it" as well as telling me I asked Michael to do extra work which isn't true. Not once has he come by to see me or call me and discuss the issues. Terrible leadership. Take your chances with Greenbloom.

Company Response

everything that Robis says is not true. we tried to help her out with her request to put polymeric sand between the flagstone warning her that it's probably not gonna work as the gaps are too big, we did try our best for a month to satisfy her even though we charged her for 2 days of labor only! we changed the polymeric sand to another type that might work as per her request without extra charge, she was kept complaining and demanding and she was never happy. We really cared about this customer and we kept sending the crew every day without charging any extra money and she was never happy. she hired us for a short labor job that became a big job, we lost many thousands of dollars on this project and then we got this bad review. Our conclusion for the future is that we need to know how to reject some jobs even if the customer insists on doing them, if we don't think it's gonna work
