I was very impressed with the quality of work and the care of the persons I dealt with at Dome. Bonnie made arrangements for Robert to come out to provide an estimate and he was very thorough. Of course, he took the time to explain everything that we would need if we decided to hire them and there was no pressure or scar scenarios. (Another company I had contacted insisted that the vents in the eaves were unable to be vented in the attic.)
We had to delay the work 2 or 3 times so by the time we were ready everything Dome was booked up until the first week of January 2016. We asked Bonnie to keep us on a cancellation list becasue we really needed to get some insulation in the attic. And even though an emergency came up on their part, Bonnie worked with Robert and he and Ty were able to come around 3 weeks ahead of the scheduled appointment.
Upon arrival their professionalism was evident right away. Introductions were made and the disruption was minimal; they covered the stairs with matting, and got to it.
I had sealed off the room that had the attic access with plastic sheeting becasue I read that insulating an attic creates a lot of dust. Some reported that dust covered everything. I was pleasantly surprised when, after the work was completed, that very little dust or insulation was found either in this room or anywhere in the house. Robert and Ty vacuumed the closet that houses the attic access as well as any other areas where what little insualtion there was had fallen. All was probably from their boots and coveralls.
The venting was completed, the insulation was above what I expected and an insulated access door to the attic was installed.
Speaking with these two workers was easy and comfortable.
Robert also offerd advice on insulating the wall - a no go becasue we'd have to tear the walls apart - and he told us so. He also told us that we could expect a noticeable difference in our comfort levels and he was right. The first night was like sleeping in a differnet house.
I can't see anyone having a problem with Dome. It never felt like I was dealing with a big, 'no care' company nor a company that wants to get the job done as fast as they can without doing it right.
