The project involved integrating new sod, a garden bed with shrubs, boulders and decorative rock, mow pavers and a stack stone retaining wall into the existing landscape.
David, Tanner and all of the crew were professional, reliable and very pleasant. All of the details were looked after, even those incidental requests which are easily missed. Their experience, creativity and hard work resulted in a transformation I am very happy with.
The site was kept tidy and the project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.

Chinook landscaping did an amazing job building us these raised beds. The mowing pavers created a nice edge to the area. They were very efficient and got the job done quickly. All the employees were polite and communicated effectively. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.

Chinook did a fantastic job transforming our small front yard - formerly just plain grass - with a tree, paver lined bed, shrubs and cedar mulch. I was worried that a small project like ours might be lost in the shuffle but that was not the case at all. From the initial consultation through to the installation communication was great and happened exactly on schedule. We couldnt be happier with the result and will definitely use Chinook again. We are extremely satisfied and very impressed with the job done by Chinook. There was great rapport with David, the owner, as well as with members of the hard working diligent crew. The outsourced sub contractors (irrigation and arborists) also performed very well under Chinook's supervision. Changes were handled with ease and the suggestions from David and the crew also worked out great. Their experience, reliability and openness ensured the job got done to a degree that surpassed our expectations. It was an expensive job, but not beyond what we were quoted, and it just proves that you get what you pay for! (Just lose the Property Brothers on the ad LOL!!)

David and his crew were a huge help in both re-designing and installing our new backyard. The experience that David brings to the design phase was invaluable. He pointed out flaws in the design we were contemplating, that would have led to issues down the road. Collaborating with us, we came up with a design that we are very happy with.

His crew was very careful as they worked around existing plants and coordinated with us on exact locations for the new trees and shrubs.

After building our home in Riverstone, we found Chinook Landscaping after some research and met with David to discuss our needs, budget etc. David is a very honest, practical professional who was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. After determining the plan, David's team arrived in short order to begin the work. Again, the entire team was friendly, helpful and prompt. They showed up on time, did what they said they were going to do, and cleaned up and the end of each work day. They worked with us when small changes needed to be made and always did so with a smile. From start to finish Chinook did an excellent job. The supply chain constraints imposed by Covid were overcome by excellent project management. All materials were pre-positioned so that when work started it proceeded without any interruption. The crew were well prepared and throughout the project exhibited consistent focus on both the quality of the work and efficiency of execution. Any issues discovered during the course of work were immediately presented with well thought out solutions.
We have done 4 major landscape projects in Calgary over the last 20 years and, while previous landscapers performed competently, Chinook was clearly superior in planning, quality of work, and efficiency.
