We would like to express our genuine appreciation to Steve Sweeney and the crew of Re-Roofing Ontario for their superlative workmanship on our tapered flat roof IB PVC Roof System.

During my first conversation with Steve, he described his workmanship as “anal”. That comment led to my having to take several moments to contemplate this unique description of his methodology. It dawned on me (because I too am very meticulous) that Steve would likely be the ideal candidate for our job. Not only is this man extremely knowledgeable regarding particular roofing products and their specific applications to residential/commercial uses, Steve took the time to provide us with an understanding of the beneficial aspects of the mechanism of aeration within our insulated flat roof and adjoining living area.

He invariably listened attentively to each of our concerns and willingly worked with us to provide the best possible remedy to secure the most effective roofing solution for our home. He recommended the installation of a new sloped roof equipped with a system of breathers and vents to work in conjunction with a multitude of openings created in the original sub-roof to facilitate airflow. He then provided us with a written detailed estimate for the scope of work and the materials recommended to be used for our job along with their specifications.

It was a pleasure to observe that the entire crew at Re-Roofing Ontario worked efficiently and cooperatively as a team. During the installation, we noted that Steve treated his men with respect, compassion and care, thereby ensuring his crew’s state of well-being. In conversation, Steve inadvertently mentioned that while between jobs he had taken one of his men to the nearest hospital when he suspected that the installer may have become dehydrated and remained with him until a family member had arrived.

Steve Sweeney is not your average roofer. He is a dedicated professional who takes pride in his workmanship. Unlike most contractors he demonstrates honesty, integrity and pays very particular attention to detail. During our installation, as unforeseeable challenges arose, Steve diagnosed impending problems and recommended meaningful, creative, and bullet-proof solutions. In his quest for perfection, Steve maintains a regimen wherein he continuously and patiently trains his installers to facilitate their learning on all aspects of the various roofing systems. Like a true craftsmen, roofing is not just a job but a passion for Steve.

During a rainstorm when we happen to glance out from our bedroom window and onto the flat roof, we are exhilarated to observe the rain water run off our tapered IB Roof System and effectively drain towards our hand crafted scuppers. Following any precipitation it is truly a wonder, whereby in contrast to our original tar and pea gravel roof with which we endured long lasting pooling effects, our new roof within an hour is completely dry!
