custom corner fireplace with hidden storage and TV wall
My husband had been diagnosed with cancer and the prognosis was not good....12 months at most.
He had always wanted a fireplace with a flat screen above so I searched and searched for the ideal unit and no where could I find one.
I was very fortunate to have Steven's name given to me by a fireplace shop and was on the phone to him that day in late October.
I told him of the situation and had thoughts it would be a wonderful last Christmas present that he could enjoy throughout the winter while having his cancer treatments.
Steven was fantastic and I sometimes wondered if he put other projects on hold to complete the project in time for Christmas.
He would come to the house in the mornings to measure and plan when my husband was well enough to go to work...it was comical as I would call him and say "he's gone" come over!!......and he would leave his shop and come....it was to be a surprise.
The finished project is absolutly beautiful and tenderly made.
It is a corner unit in maple to match the wood trim in the room, the fireplace was enclosed in black granite.
On either side of the fireplace are hidden storage doors for DVD's....push in the side and a door pops open.
Directly below the mantle is a drop down glass door and in that space is ample room for all the components.
Attached to the mantle is a soaring cabinet that the TV is attached to and extends almost to the ceiling with a shelf on the top.
His work is excellent, he was always pleasant,professional, helpful and reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend Steven for any project.
