I was 3 days late, the people at storage mart are just simply heartless and stupid, they charged me late fee 25$ and then the lock fee 35$, even though they didn't lock it, they said that if it goes past 3 days, they chage that because it is technically allowed to be locked, so I paid 25+35 + taxes, how ripoff is this? Nasty people. Plain and simple ripoff.

I went to the Burlington Storage facility to store my household furnishings while I was having major renovations. When I first went in, Alice was polite and showed me around the property It is very clean and well maintained. After I moved my items into storage is when the problems started. Alice called on the 29th of every month to remind me to come and was rude on the phone and left too many messages. The Company has wild charges if you are late in payment If you don't pay by the 3rd of the month they add a late fee. Even if you mail a cheque and it arrives late on the 4th, you still get the late charges. I was in the office when a customer was pleading to have a late fee waved because the cheque had arrived late in the mail. It did not matter, Alice would not wave the late fee and because the late fee had been added to their rent they now owed another fee on the 9th of the month called an "over lock" fee of $35.00. The customer left the office on the verge of tears.
Storage Mart and their unfeeling employees have no heart. Their late fees and charges are deadly. I moved out on the 6th of the month and the "daily charge" for the rent was so high that I almost paid a full months rent for 6 days. When you are moving in, everyone is laughing and friendly, but that changes once you a tenant.
I would not reccmmend these people, I will never use them again.
