An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
Over the winter I had massive Ice Damming on one of my rental properties. After calling many contractors who offered to smash the ice out I called Shaun at Urban Roofing, having read some reviews online. Shaun was the only one to walk me through the process of WHY ICE FORMS. No one else offered any solutions as to why it was happening. They were the only ones interested in fixing the problem not offering a Band-Aid solution as he called it. “You’d save a ton of money by not hiring us, we’re gonna figure out why its accumulating and then stop it”. Because of the liabilities and potential damages I hired them to do an inspection, and I’m glad I did. He showed that the insulation was weak and there was heat loss from the home with no air movement. Although, the cost was well above what I wanted to spend I hired them to fix the insulation and roof. After Urban Roofing was done there was minimal to no ice. I wasn’t thrilled about doing the roof over the winter months but I was desperate to remove the ice properly and stop the leak in the house. I would not hesitate to call Urban Roofing although they are expensive it was done right the first time. Worth the money in the end.
