AC Issue

Imperial Energy installed our whole HVAC system back in 2014. Every season after the install, we would have trouble with the AC part. The lines would freeze and the system would stop working. Imperial Energy have been coming out to try and fix this issue for the past 8 years. This year they wanted to charge me $230 to come out. I told them this is an on going issue that you haven't resolved and told them that I am not paying them $230 for them to come out every year. Haven't heard from them since. Thank goodness, because I call another company, IKAD, who came right away and found the issue in the condenser, and only 1 year left of warranty.
I would not recommend Imperial Energy for anything to do with HVAC. The kids they send destroy things and are not good or trained.

Approximate cost of services:
$12,000.00

Company Response

The York product installed in 2014 had a few parts failure issues over the course of 8 years, all have been repaired at no charge for this client.
Non of the repairs were related to our installation and were part failures over the life of the system.
The client was advised at the time of canceling their protection plan (Jan 2022) that they will no longer be covered for the labour component of any future repairs but have proceeded with the cancellation. Unfortunately, their system required a repair 8 months later and they expected us to provide them with a service at no charge.
Unfortunately if the client does not have a valid protection plan or an active insurance policy there isn't any way of providing them with free repairs under a cancelled policy. Considering that this is a general practice in the insurance industry and the customer was advised on multiple occasions of the importance of maintaining their coverage, we find this review unfair and misleading to others.
