I called about getting them to fix broken dryer drive belt. We are more-or-less out of their area and couldn't get to us for a few days. When I moaned about not wanting to wait this long (nor pay for a long distance service call, he suggested that this repair was something I could probably do myself. When I said that I didn't know how to get the side of the dryer off (as that appeared might be the case) he told me that it wasn't a very difficult repair to do and only required taking the front off, not the side. In fact, the repair was easy but I might have to go to Stouffville or Oshawa for the belt. In fact, the part was a fairly common part and was able to get it fairly locally.
So, in the end, all that North Durham Appliance did was tell me how to do it myself. I cost them potential business but earned them my sincere gratitude and earned them this review!
