vinylbilt lifetime warranty is worth nothing!!

We built a new house in 2005 and chose double hung Vinylbilt windows because of the lifetime warranty. We requested that the new windows have a nailing strip because of the new construction. We noticed a leak from upstairs 8 months after the house was finished. We contacted the retail and of course they blamed it on the the roof or siding. The leaks we are having only happen at certain times of the year. We contacted Vinylbilt, payed the $175 service fee and they just blamed the retailer. In short, we have replaced one window to prove that it is the window leaking, we replaced the roof in September..so that is not leaking. And, just yesterday Jan 1st, 2020 we noticed a leak again....Vinylbuilt should of helped me years ago after the service teck diagnosed the problem!!! Please be aware of this companies warranty....it means nothing!!!!!

Worthless Warranty. Buy your windows elsewhere!

4 New windows in 2017. Bathroom hardware failed 09/20.
Fleming Windows did the original installation. They would repair for a $50.00 service call although VinylBilt claims a lifetime warranty.

Contacted VinylBilt direct about their so-called lifetime warranty. Seems their lifetime warranty is only for parts! After I described the issue & sent pics VB’s Service dept claimed they would sent out replacement parts on October 8th. Another email about the parts delivery came & went on Nov 2nd. Now it’s Dec 9th. Still nothing.

Oh ya, VB said *they* could send out a repair tech to my location for $175.00 service call.
The VinylBilt lifetime warranty is worthless, even the installer wanted $$$ to fix VB’s problems. Buy your windows from a company with a better warranty.

Replacement patio door and kitchen window

No need to go anywhere else!
As with large bay and bedroom windows purchased and installed five years previously, this purchase went just as smoothly.
Arrived on time, no fuss, clean up as expected, virtually no disturbance to us at all and finished in record time.
Many thanks to the complete team!
Refered another friend who has also ordered.
Hope to send more in the future and we still have two more windows to replace in the near future. Cheers!

So far so good

follow up to a post we gave on Google reviews, We bought product from this company years ago as well as some shutters. Since we bought a new house, we asked the installer to use the same brand. He advised they were having difficulties with supply the last few years but we did not have any issues and the look, feel and finish all seem good so far. will keep you posted

New Custom Home on Clear Lake

We built our dream home on Clear Lake, Kawarthas 17 years ago this fall. Vinyl Built, supplied 33 window, of different sizes. Picture windows with casements and other designs, plus sliding doors. We used their top line windows, thermopane and self washing. The delivery time was exactly as quoted and our local installer was scheduled for that date. Everything was on time and the windows have been a wonderful addition to our home.
When I read complaints, it is generally, the installer who has not done his job. By that I mean, not enough time spent to foam and caulk the edges properly. This is the main cause of leakage. Important to be on your job yourself or with a reliable person checking. JUST A TIP. Nobody in Canada builds better windows and they are right here in ONTARIO.

New windows fogging up worse that replaced one

Few years ago they replaced our old wooden windows. New windows have an awful quality of installation. Very first winter all windows were fogging up, water stayed on the windowsills. We are planning to replace them. Vinilbilt, you are selling product/service that cost thousands but what you offer instead is a joke

I had 8 windows replaced. Quality products and great workmanship. This is my second time using Superior Home Improvements and I would recommend them to anyone, and have done so.

Not what I had hoped for

Several years ago, I replaced the last two original single-pane windows in my house with Vinylbilt awning-style windows. I am completely happy with them, so last year I replaced four 25-year-old double-pane windows with Vinylbilt products. One was another awning-style, which is great. The other three are single-side-sliders. Big disappointment. While the glass (SSP) is great, the frames are not. They admit more air than the ones they replaced. When it's cold and windy, ice forms in the bottom corner of the fixed pane on the slider side. Air is coming in through the "seal" between the fixed and sliding panels. And in high winds and rain, water also migrates through into that corner. Definitely not what I expected from premium windows.
I guess the upshot is, if you want efficiency, stick to awning or casement windows - Vinylbilt sliders do not perform well, regardless of their published test results.
And, an added annoying thing - they only have right-hand locking tabs. If you want a left-hand-opening single-slider, they just turn the slider upside-down in the frame, so the locks are engaged when the tabs are up, not down. If you have a mix of right- and left-hand sliders, like I do, some are locked when the tabs are down, and some when they're up. Again, not what you'd expect from premium products.
