Prices are tempting but product and customer service are the worst!

In summer 2015 I ordered roughly $2500 of 1x12 t&g and 1x4 pine from Mr "Kyle" for a cottage I'm building. Initially he was very easy to deal with and answered the phone immediately. I got a price, thought it over, called him back and placed my order. I sent him an e-transfer and I was given a delivery date that worked for both of us when I'd be at the cottage. That weekend came and left, no delivery. I called many times, no answer. Sent several emails and finally got a reply saying it would be there that weekend... once again a no show. After this, I could no longer get a hold of him. I had my dad call, from his different phone number and he answered, my dad told him he would be coming back right through there from Montreal and gave a date and time and would pick up the wood. (I live 6 hours away from Ottawa, the cottage is 4 hours away from Ottawa) My dad showed up and there was no one there, he called Kyle again, Kyle said he had to make an appointment, which my dad had already told him when he was coming. Eventually he must have got a hold of someone because a lady that lives in a trailer at the driveway entrance came out, gave my dad a hard time then finally gave my dad the wood I had ordered. (My dad had to rent a Uhaul to transport the wood the 4 hours to the cottage, we figured this was better than getting no wood at all) Once it was at the cottage, I counted and measured every piece and I was short roughly $500 in lumber, even though my dad was told it was all there. I called back, no answer again. I told him I was coming there. I drove from the cottage all the way there and was eventually greeted by the lady in the trailer, after some "tense" words, I was put through to Kyle and he basically said the wood was all there and there was nothing more he would do. Next I called the OPP while still there, the lady changed her tune slightly. She gave me the outstanding wood. I wanted my $150 for delivery back or that value in wood. Kyle said no as it also was for "handling", however my invoice mentioned nothing about handling, only delivery, which he never did do. The OPP called me back while I was there asking about the situation, the lady decided to give me $150 cash if I was willing to leave and put the matter to a close. I decided I was done with the entire fight and we left. This lumber "mill" is in a beat up old shack with very small equipment, certainly not capable of making 1x12 boards. The lumber is wet and shrunk considerably from when I received it. Look at all of the other reviews and decide for yourself, is it worth the gamble? I wish these reviews were around before I had put my order in, hard lessons are the ones we learn the most I guess. "Ontario Wide Lumber" and "Mr Lumber" are names he goes by on Kijiji ads, that is where I found him. Buyer beware, I wouldn't recommend this "company" to my worst enemy! I don't think most people would go to the lengths that I went to but I'm stubborn and did nothing wrong and refuse to be taken advantage of.
