Green Side Up Contracting

I've used Homestars numerous times in the past (windows, wet basement, new driveway) and have always had excellent contractors as a result. So when we needed a landscaper, I naturally went to Homestars again, and found that I really appreciated what others had written about Jay and his team at Green Side Up. We had a backyard that was overrun by weeds and was in desperate need of re-sodding. We also wanted the front and back gardens looked after, as well as weekly lawn service. Jay is an honest and forthright guy who is passionate about what he does - this is evident the moment you meet him, and as the work went on, he never loses his passion! He delivered a very fair quote and guaranteed excellent service. Whenever i’ve emailed Jay about a question or two, he responds very quickly - great service is clearly a key part of his business, and he truly delivers on it. We now have had much of the work done already (the resodding of the back, the gardens front and back look wonderful now, as well as spring clean-up completed and his high-end fertilizer put down - lawns are a lush green now) and the weekly service provided by Grant and his crew is thorough, and they leave the place very clean before they go. They always show up when they say they will, and they always do a thorough job. I’m very happy with Jay and his whole crew, I look forward to being with them a long time, and having found them on Homestars, I’m very happy and confident in recommending them to other Homestar users.

Jay and his Green Side Up team have been great. They had been providing the property maintenance for my neighbor and I had to finally find out who was getting his lawn so green.

I spoke to Jay about some new sod I needed and for property maintenance for the year. Jay came out to the house right away and provided a very fair quote for both. Jay scheduled the project a month out. He contacted me two days prior to the scheduled start date to confirm. On the originally scheduled date, Jay and team his team showed up first thing in the morning and laid the sod on a large portion of my yard and it already looks great.
Mostly due to Jay taking the time to make extra trips up to my house on the long weekend to make sure the grass was being watered as I was going away.

I have found Jay and Green Side Up to go the extra mile and I’m looking forward to Jay and his team making sure that my lawn will be as Green as my neighbors

I know this wasn't a huge job for your company but I appreciate that the work was done when it was promised to be done. The end result is perfect and the price was very fair. There was great communication with Jay and the two guys on the job worked a long hard day. The work was complete and well done. That same evening Jay appeared to have a look at their work. Great follow up. I recommend Green Side Up and am using them for fertilizing this summer and for our fall clean up.

It can be challenging to find a company that will complete a smaller job. We had a fir tree that had pavers surrounding it which needed to be removed. We simply wanted to have some mulch around the tree with a couple of decorative large armour stone and river rock. Too much heavy lifting for us and so many companies will only do the bigger jobs. Green Side Up web site states no job is too small, so we called them and so glad we did. Jay is very easy to work with, I sent along a few pictures and description of what needed to be done and Jay was able to quickly provide a quote and date to do the job. Jay is also very collaborative ensuring we were engaged in key decisions for this project. He and and his team arrived on time and did a great job at a very fair price. We would definitely use Jay again.

I have been doing my own garden work over the past 25 years and finally decided to look for a landscaping company to do the work for me. I read the reviews for Green Side Up Property Maintenance, Landscape Design & Build and was impressed with all the positive reviews. I met Jay, who I found to be very positive, personable and accommodating. He bent over backwards to make sure that all the work I requested was done completely to my satisfaction and was very open to my feedback - good and bad. Since he takes a proactive approach to his business, I feel very comfortable using his services again in the future because I know that he will address all my concerns promptly and to my satisfaction.

I have nothing but good things to say about Jay and his crew for taking care of my lawn last year. Jay dropped by the next day after I sent him a e-mail for a quote. My lawn was in bad condition, but they helped me revived it and I even got complements from people passing by my house. You can't go wrong with Jay and company if you want to find a professional property maintenance and landscaping.

Jay and his company did such a wonderful job last summer with my mom's lawn that I couldn't wait to sign up for another season. In addition to being super friendly and reliable, he also provided helpful suggestions that were mindful of our budget. I would have signed up for snow plowing services with Jay as well, but unfortunately they weren't available for residential properties in Newmarket.
