We had already hired a designer to design our dream kitchen and we were looking for a reliable and capable contractor to actually build it. A friend suggested we contact Jeff Hayes. Jeff came out to meet us one evening and submitted a detailed, itemized quote later that night. Some adjustments were required over the next couple of weeks (we hadn't quite decided on the kitchen flooring or the backsplash...), but these updates were also timely and detailed, and Jeff even provided different options and considerations during the decision-making. The quote was very reasonable, and it didn't change once it was signed off.
This was our biggest renovation to date. We didn't make any structural changes to the footprint of the kitchen, but we changed everything else... We replaced all of the cabinets (and doubled them), counters, backsplash, etc. We upgraded to a 36-inch gas stove and hood fan, and had a much bigger sink installed. We chose a quartz countertop on one side and stainless steel on the other. We also had a custom pantry built.
We are really pleased with the work that Jeff and his team put in. Everyone was professional, the timing was pretty accurate, and the final product is awesome. Even though this summer was apparently Jeff's busiest one to date, he was always still available to answer questions or provide updates. I never felt like the other projects were competing with my own. Absolutely nothing seems to faze Jeff, and he was always professional and pleasant to deal with. He even created some tasks for our 4-year-old, who was desperate to help out...
We are THRILLED with the end result -- we LOVE our new kitchen. We would definitely work with Jeff Hayes again, and we are happy to refer him to others.
