Nick's Window Cleaning

I've used this company once in the past with no issues whatsoever. Unfortunately, this time was quite trying.

I do not wish to have anybody on my property while I am away so I requested an afternoon appointment. On the day of, I received a phone call letting me know there was an "emergency" and that my appointment had been canceled. Although annoyed (and frankly, what kind of emergency can there be in the gutter cleaning business?), I reluctantly requested another afternoon appointment. I must've mentioned the word "afternoon" a handful of times in my conversations with the robotic-sounding secretary... and yet, I received an email confirming my appointment for the morning! Another call was necessary to have that fixed. I was assured this would fix the problem.

Well, lo & behold, the worker shows up today, when? You guessed it! In the morning. Also, no phone call was made to alert me that he would be showing up, in spite of what I was told would occur. He was courteous and professional but I was nevertheless understandably irritated. In order to have the work done, I needed to reschedule events in my day.

When I called, the robot secretary kept interrupting me consistently and I then used a firm tone asking her to stop doing so as it is QUITE rude. I had to educate this clueless person as to what customer service entails, lesson one being that when a customer is relaying details of the situation to not constantly interrupt as that is rude and counterproductive. I eventually got a half-hearted apology.

For my trouble, I received a 15$ rebate. The work was well done and I do not fault the worker for the problems I encountered. In fact, he even removed a piece which was problematic and reinforced that area with a couple of screws. The office however is in dire need of somebody who is organized and understands basic English such as words like "afternoon" and the ability to address customers in a sincere and appropriate fashion.

Would I make use of their service again? If I call next year and hear that woman's uniquely monotone voice, I'll most likely schedule another company to do the work as she has demonstrated she cannot be trusted to schedule appointments accurately and to call customers to alert them of the worker's arrival. I refuse to repeat the experience again, necessitating my entire day to be disturbed by somebody else's incompetence. Life's too short to deal with this nonsense. As somebody who has worked in customer service for the better part of my career, her performance was thoroughly inadequate and made the experience a whole lot more time-consuming and stressful than it needed to be.

Started with a quote of $600, by the time the job was completed, it was $1,074.07. They said it took longer than quoted, which clearly means that quotes don't mean anything to them. Asked to install front & back of the house but they only installed new eavestrough in front and said that is all they were going to do for price paid. Very disappointing. Will not be recommending or returning back.

Hired this company based on Homestars reviews to clean the exterior windows on our townhouse.
They cleaned most of the windows with a brush that had water coming out of it on the end of a long pole. They did not dry these windows. When I questioned this, he said they used purified water that didn't require drying. Even if they used distilled water, there are 2 problems with this technique - without getting up close, you can't see the dirt left behind, and leaving windows wet invariably leads to drips and spotting as blowing debris gets into it before it dries.
They hand washed and dried a few of our windows and these turned out great
This company has good prices, but make sure that if you want spotless windows, you ask them to hand wash and dry all of them.

Got those guys business card in my mailbox and decided to give it a shot. Been noticing that my gutters were leaking and wanted to get them cleaned. The service rep was very professional and gave me an exact quote and time estimate.
Upon arrival the crew noticed that gutters got damaged die to being plugged and overweight. They showed me the damages and offered to repair them for me. Only took them about half an hour to fix the gutters all around the roof. Was very impressed with crews courtesy and effort. Definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking to get their gutters cleaned or fixed ! You got yourself a new customer.

I usually don't write bad reviews but this time I feel the business should have at least notify me before they start doing the job. So here it goes.
I was quoted two packages to clean my house windows. One with the sills clean and the other ones without. I picked the one with the sills and frame clean and expect to have them clean. Unfortunately that did not happen. They scheduled my appointment on a Saturday so I can be at home to see how they do the service, instead, they called me on the Friday saying it's better to clean it that day which I can't be home since I am at work. They say they do it all the time for customers so I trusted them and agreed to it. When I got home, I noticed the windows were not property clean as I anticipated so I called them to complain. They say they would come back to clean to my satisfaction. This morning they came and argued with me those were stains and cannot be remove with just regular window cleaning. If I pay extra or use the chemical they can get those stains out.

They should have let me know those stains or dirt cannot be remove before starting the job and not until after customer complain about it. Terrible customer service and workmanship. I would stay away from these guys.

Update: September 12, 2017 The owner of this company gave me a call to discuss the situation. He agrees his staff did not handle the situation correctly and apologized. Based on my experience, he have revised his company policy to state the hard water stains might not be able to remove just with regular cleaning in the quote. Also additional training have been provided to his staff in case this scenario happen again in the future. The owner also agree to re-wash the windows to my satisfaction.

They were courteous on the phone, It was easy to book the time I needed. They followed up before appointment to confirm and did a great job - thorough and professional.

I used Nick's window cleaning for my buisness and was very pleased! They came on time and did a fabulous job. The guys are friendly, polite and professional. Definitely will reccomend Nick's window cleaning.
