We first hired QRP Plumbing & Contracting about 10 years ago to do a small plumbing job in our house. Omari Bellot did the job himself, quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable cost. We felt happy at the time to have found such a reliable service. Over the following years, we hired QRP to do increasingly more demanding work: roofing, electrical wiring, plumbing and exterior brickwork. In each case, Omari and his team provided us with an honest assessment of the problem and conducted the work on time and at a reasonable cost. By now we'd spent enough time with Omari to regard him as a friend. When we asked him to install a new tankless water heater, we trusted him to do the work while we went away on a vacation. While we were away, Omari contacted us to let us know that water had started to seep into our basement through the foundation wall and threatened to flood our basement bedroom, irreparably damaging the hardwood floor, carpets and furniture. He sent us photographs of the leak, recommended that we repair it and then, when we agreed, went ahead and completed the extensive repairs required and installed a sump pump as added protection. In the process, he probably saved us (or our insurance company) thousands of dollars. He also alerted us to a government program that provided us with a substantial subsidy on the sump pump. Two years ago, we hired QRP to conduct a major renovation to our house. Among other things, the project required the removal of walls, the repositioning of doors and windows, the installation of new electrical wiring and fixtures, the modification and upgrading of heating ducts, the installation of a steel beam to support the second storey of the house, and finally, new floors, drywall, electrical wiring and switches, lighting fixtures, kitchen cabinets, caesar-stone countertops, first-floor cabinets, bedroom closets, staircase runners and paint. All this during the final days of Covid. Omari and his team executed this project with military precision, timing each step in the process to coincide with the next requirement, without missing a single day of work. As the owner and renovator of six previous houses, I had never seen such efficiency and competence in a contractor. His entire team did their work with such friendly enthusiasm that we welcomed them each day into our home and missed them when they finished the job, on time, as usual, on budget, as usual, and with no mistakes.
