Very pleased with the work done. A+ for Bob and his crew, F- for Toronto Hydro and government bureaus. Accepted the quote in March 2017 but installation was not complete until late October with all of the delay due to government agencies. Bob's crew was quick and efficient - they only needed about three days for their part. Bob handled all of the paperwork, and did all of the necessary harrassing to get the bureaucrats moving. We had only a single issue. The cabling was initially laid across the north roof which would have limited our ability to effect tile replacements and could potentially be a source for leaks over the course of the system's 20 year lifespan. Bob sent Greg out a couple of days later who moved the cable under the eaves for a much cleaner look.

We received three quotes. The lowest seemed dodgy with the salesperson trying to push for more business by placing cells on the North side or under our tree's shade. Brightworks was in the middle with no pressuring, offering a configuration that matched our expectations. We also ordered the critter guard.

It is now four years later with the panels having survived some hairy wind and winter storms without incident or leak. The installation includes internet monitoring to track efficiency. Solar capture drops to virtually zero under snow cover or rainy days. Even so, this was a 6 kWH system and earns $2,000 on an annual basis. In the middle of January, we were capturing as much as 18 kWh per day, trending to a peak of 35 kWh per day through the summer months. In other words, it is meeting the targets as projected by the Brightworks team.

After choosing Brightworks energy as a general contractor for our MicroFit program this "company" managed to miss final deadline and now I have 30K worth of anchor on my roof... forget about 65k profits...

My MicroFit project was APPROVED by IESO and the only one thing was missing to install all the equipment, get it all connected, get it inspected and...... do it ON TIME.....

The project had to be finished in 6 month not day more, you miss 1 day and bye bye project....

Brightworks as bright as it is was waiting for 5 !!!! full months to start IESO approved project and ....Get this.... They sent their electrician on the LAST DAY (seriously, not kidding, last deadline day) to connect the system to the grid.... Of course, the deadline was missed and now it is not fixable situation...

Brightworks is blaming everybody, especially EnWin (local power distribution company in Windsor ON)... They simply don't get that EnWin couldn't process paperwork and get all approvals in remaining few hours after electrician finished connection on LAST deadline day.

They asked me to contact EnWin and IESO and talk to them as a customer.... this was very shady.... I did call and did try, but there was no way to turn back time .....

Now I am hiring a lawyer and taking this bright business to court.

PS. I will take this review down ONLY IF Judge tells me, so you stay with it until then, and you can pass this to your lawyers again.

Also I will make sure MANY people know about your business practices .

They looked after all the approvals and permits. Their staff was very efficient and friendly. We started in late May and were connected to the power grid on the 2nd of Aug. We received our 1st payment from Hydro One on the 27th of Sept. We are really pleased with their work and the system is working fine. They gave us a firm quotation and we paid in 5 installments the last one on the 15th of September. We recommend Brightworks Solar to anyone planing a solar power system.

I began the MicroFIT application in February and upon receiving the go-ahead in March I reached out to five Solar companies for proposals. Brightworks Solar responded with the most attractive proposal in terms of price, schedule, features & benefits, and guarantee. I am an Engineer and had very specific requirements for the type of hardware used and its particular installation as to minimize EMF radiation, maximize electricity generation, and have backup power when the grid goes down. The owner was very patient and responsive as we worked the details of my custom solution together (their first). The installation team was very professional and friendly too, however, despite the established understanding with the owner, my involvement with the onsite project management was somewhat greater than expected (eg. specific roof work and cable runs, communication with LDC, and inverter software commissioning). Fortunately the speed and quality of the owner’s communication and steps to address my concerns was top notch, and with a slight delay of three weeks the project was successfully deployed. It is setup to perform well and autonomously for years being protected from squirrels and raccoons with a critter guard, earning good income to offset utility bills, and if need be, capable of providing up to 2000W of free power straight from the panels. Overall I highly recommend Brightworks Solar to anyone considering a Solar project. Well done!

The invoice arrived before the job was started. The subcontractor completed the work in two days. The subcontractor was a very nice fellow and did a very good job. Blah blah blah blah 30 words.

Brightworks was great to work with. They took care of everything. Great communication, always responsive when asking question or addressing concerns. The solar system is working even better than they predicted!
