Richard removed an old toilet in our upstairs bathroom and replaced it with a newly purchased one. After he had left, water began leaking from the ceiling of the powder room below causing extensive damage. I phoned him and he immediately returned, removed the toilet and fixed the leak. He suggested waiting awhile before repairing the ceiling to ensure that the problem had been solved. We did this and then asked Richard to arrange to have the damaged ceiling repaired. He refused to take responsibility, saying that the damage was not his fault. Clearly it was!
