We hired Safeway Flooring to install subflooring, Laminate and carpet in our basement. I'm very picky when hiring anyone to work on my home, Safeway Flooring was a great experience through the entire process. My wife and I were so happy with the service we hired Safeway Flooring again to install carpet in 2 bedrooms on the main floor. Sam was courteous, professional, cleaned up zero mess was left and he pays attention to the details. Highly recommend.

Sam was terrific! Managing the flooring of our renovation project that involved sanding and staining existing hardwood, installation of new, matching vinyl and managing concrete repair of basement before vinyl. He was knowledgeable and always so professional and positive throughout the project, and the finished product is amazing! Highly recommend!

I researched on line and around at the big stores for carpet or some sort of alternate flooring for the front verandah, to be coupled with installation, and had no luck at all. Mostly I got the answer that Covid had shut down the supply chain, and the appropriate carpeting wasn't available. I really wanted the torn, ugly carpeting removed before Fall.

The owner, Sam, made a house call himself, and had a great selection of carpeting as well as practical advice.
We piggy-backed new carpeting on the main hall staircase. Everything was done exceptionally well and in a timely fashion. We are very pleased with the results.

Sam was professional, friendly and attentive, prompt with text replies to all our queries. In person, he had a gentle & polite demeanour and we found him to be genuine and trustworthy, willing to serve, which we really appreciated since we typically prefer to use referrals. Not having any available, we had no choice but research the internet and Safeway Flooring was 1 of 3 companies we consulted with. They were very competitive with their prices and variety of style choices and we found Sam to be very honest (at payment, two $50’s were stuck together and he returned it!). He and his colleague accommodated our unique requests with working at a home with Seniors, one with Alzheimer’s, and followed our specific Covid safety protocols, and completed the job in one day. We are very pleased and thrilled with the final reveal, including clean-up and vacuuming, leaving us the extra remnants to redo the stairs down the road. The complete process from initial phone call; in-home consult for measurements & broadloom selection; written contract to confirm pricing and installation date; removal of old carpet and under-padding; to final reveal, was efficient and well done within 3wks. If every contractor at Safeway Flooring has the same work ethic and customer first attitude as Sam, then we would highly recommend them for your carpet installation needs.

I was very happy with the quality of work and product.
But most of all I was impressed with Sam. He was so helpful and patient in helping me choose my carpet. He explained the pros and cons of each sample I asked about, and how it related to my needs. He is just so easy to talk to and appreciates you as a client. To many times I come across services where they act as if they are doing you a favour.

Fantastic to deal with and was the best price of the quotes we got. Very professional in presentation and the finished carpet looks great. We have a set of circular stairs that are a bit challenging and it was no problem. Fast installation, too. Would use Safeway again, no hesitation.
