I noticed some shingles lifted on my roof and asked Alba Tech to do an inspection. Tony came out quickly and inspected the roof. He repaired the raised shingles and also replaced a defective shingle at a point in my roof that isnt visible from the street.
The conversation with Tony was very educational. He mentioned that the cause of the nails popping up could be blown insulation blocking the attic vents and restricting airflow. He checked the attic and found that to be the case. I guess thats going to be another job and another story.
Tony spent well over an hour with me and I enjoyed our conversation. My impression is that he likes to do a quality job and doesnt push to do any more work that is required. For example, my roof is 14 years old and the shingles arent holding up too well. I asked if I need the roof redone and Tony suggested I can wait several more years before spending money on that. I like that attitude when many contractors would push for a new roof in the current environment.
All-in-all, it was a very pleasant experience!
