In January 2021, I hired Marks Roofing to replace my shingle roof with a standing seam metal roof. Work started in May, and immediately there were significant issues. During the construction, four leaks occurred resulting in $15,000 in damages. Aside from the leaks, the new flashing installation was done so poorly that the siding on the second floor of the home needed replacing, causing another $30,000 in damages. In addition to all of that damage, in the winter of 2022, heavy snowfall was too much for their work, and both the gutters and plumbing vent stack broke. I could go on and on; it was incompetence at every step of the process.

Uninsured subcontractors were hired to work on the roof, and as a consequence Marks Roofing's insurance refused to pay. Sukhi, the owner of Mark's Roofing promised me that the leak remediation would be paid for, but he never did and now refuses to reply to any communication from me. I was left to pay the significant bills to fix their work and the damage they caused.

I waited 2 years before posting this review to give you more than enough time to deal with the insurance companies and to arrange paying the ServiceMaster bills. You are now refusing to answer my phone calls, emails and text messages, so you've forced me to post this publicly.

I needed a new roof because there were several leaks and I was selling the house. Sukhi and his crew came and did it. They were very reliable. Sukhi was available to answer all my questions and concerns. Great guy.

To give you an idea of our home, it had 30 year old cedar shingles on a multi pitched roof with built in gutters, 15 down spouts.
We chose 6 highly rated Better Business Bureau companies with Worksafe BC coverage.
We selected Marks Roofing, not because of price (they werent the lowest), but because of Suk, their on-site foreman, who was excellent to deal with. He responded immediately with a quote based on what we had laid out, gave us product samples so we could visualize the look, and provided addresses of places they had done or were currently working on. But the best part was the Suks knowledge. He came to our home 3 times, rather than talk on the phone, to answer some of my concerns. He has obviously done a lot of roofing. Im a DIY detail person and when he was explaining things it always made sense.
The work took 5 days. It was in all appearance a happy focussed hard working crew. Even the neighbours noticed this. There was a couple of minor glitches that were corrected immediately, no questions.
In the end, we are extremely happy with everythingthe look, craftsmanship and cost.
It is our pleasure to recommend Marks Roofing without reservation.

Suki and his team were absolutely amazing. Suki came over with his drone, viewed the entire roof and membrane (built in gutters) and suggested that his crew would add metal fascia onto existing wood boards to give it better protection against snow in our area (which we tend to get more often being higher up in the mountain). His crew also re-sealed all membrane in area's that required this and provided before and after pics. Our neighbours were watching the work done by Suki and his crew and ended up doing the same work as ours plus more. Overall highly recommend Mark's Roofing for anyone wanting professional work done on their roof.

18+ year old roof that was showing signs of rot in some areas. There was also pest damage in the past.
Marks came to our home to do an estimate and gave very details listing of the changes that will take place during roof replacement. Also recommended replacement of the gutter downspouts
The work was completed as scheduled over a 3 day period.
We are happy with all outcome and with the work that was done. Will recommend Marks Roofing to potential customers.
