In an effort to help a elderly family member manage a backyard full of large, old trees left untrimmed for almost 30 years, I went in search of the ideal professional who would give me an honest assessment of the work required, find the best strategy to meet the needs of the homeowner and provide me a fair estimate for the work required.

I can sincerely say Higher Place Tree Care was the company I was hoping to find. First and foremost, Chris had the credentials I was looking for in a subject matter expert. Second, he understood my concerns and was able to formulate a plan for the most critical work to be completed immediately with recommendations for additional work to be completed at a later date. Finally, throughout the process, Chris was the consummate professional, he was courteous, punctual, and replied to all my enquiries in a timely fashion.

The date the work was scheduled, Chris and his colleague arrived on time, completed the work in a timely fashion and left the site spotless when they were finished. I appreciated their emphasis on safety and was impressed by Chris' ability to maneuver around high up an extremely old black oak tree pruning large limbs - in order to remove deadwood and reduce weight toward the home and garage. Finally, the invoice was detailed, easy to read and matched the estimate given for the work to be completed.

Had a very dead and very compromised tree the previous homeowner left us to deal with. Tree was in a difficult spot to access that required us shutting down the road, getting a specialized crane, and hiring officers to manage the road closure. Chris not only did an excellent job removing the tree but also navigating and pushing through all the hoops the cities beurucracy sets up for us. I was talking with a number of aborist and only chris seemed to be able to get expedited actions from the city for this job.

I hired Chris and his team to trim some very large trees on my property and right from the initial contact they were a pleasure to work with. Chris showed up on the agreed upon day and time to review the work and provide an accurate and competitive quote right on the spot.

Chris and his guys showed up on time on the agreed upon day, were very professional and courteous with my family and I as they setup and were respectful and polite to our neighbours.

The work was done quickly and safely. Afterward Chris cleaned up both my properly and the neighbours properly, where some debris had fallen.

after contacting a few tree removal companies, someone mentioned Chris and his company. When we first met to go over the work that needed to be done I felt an instant connection. He is very straight forward - what you see is what you get! On the day of the work, Chris and his co-worker were on time - a good start. He has great communication skills and was easy to deal with. There were a couple of additions and subtractions from the original estimate and we were able to easily agree that the price would remain as originally quoted. The job was done on time with nothing but the best service. He and his co-worker handled the job professionally and no mess was left behind. I would highly recommend him.

So. Just gave my woodlot a close shave, including removal of two dead elms. Both dangerous, one more than another.
Hired the Higher Place crew, based on the professionalism at contact and detailed written quote.. So they arrived into the street like ninja's - big truck with a big chipper. Didn’t hear them - which is good - no disturbance to neighbors. I’d set the alarm and they knocked exactly on time, but by then they were already staged. We quickly reviewed the work. Two removals - one seriously dangerous. Pruning of 4 mature Silver Maples.
I watched them as the crew of 4 worked. Two up top, two below. They cleaned as they went. In constant radio communication for safety. This was like watching a SEAL TEAM TREE take out a target. Efficient. Clean.
My Neighbors wouldn’t likely ever have know they even there, the clean-up was so well done.
What impressed me was the way the team maneuvered from one task to another with such precision. No wasted motion, no false steps, At the same time: fully aware of team safety. Including proper safety attire, equipment and tool safety at all times.
I was also impressed with their tool respect. Tools sharp and clean and stored properly at all times. Tool respect tells a lot about a professional.
I see more sky than I was expecting and the old ladies I love will hopefully thrive for a few more years ..
But I digress. Fair price. Very professional. Will hire them again for similar service without hesitation.
