We would definitely recommend Assured Basements and are very happy with the results of our basement reno. From our initial meeting with Mike and our design consult with Hollis to the project support team (Ryan, Camilo, and Reilly) and standout onsite players (Derek and Jake), everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with. It's hard to name every single craftsperson and trades who played an important role in our basement redesign, but they were all wonderful and true experts in their fields. We can't thank everyone enough and look forward to enjoying our basement for many years to come.

From beginning to end, we were confident in the quality and the customer service care we received from Assured. Mike was an absolute delight from the moment he came to give us our estimate til the final inspection. Every single person who came in was very respectful and pleasant. A huge shout out to Enrique, who was our lead guy from day one! Any questions or concerns we had were answered promptly and dealt with swiftly by Enrique. He was present every day to ensure the quality of the work being done was up to Assured's standards! Thank you Mike and Enrique and all the other people involved in making our house feel more like a home.

Full transparency, everything on time as committed (for kitchens they set our expectation up front that there were delays). They were also flexible and adjusted when we changed our minds (last minute requests).

If anything wasnt quite right they fixed it no argument no questions (sometimes they called it out themselves I.e. shelving).
Ryan did a great job managing the project team & the backlog and came to check the work for himself to ensure the quality was A1 (as Mike would say Lexus and above).

These guys on their own do High Grade work and take accountability to ensure the quality is top shelf. Assured brings the best of the best together and scheduled them efficiently so you dont have to worry about the scheduling or the quality of work.

My family has had the pleasure of having Assured Basement build our basement oases. From our first contact with their sales manager Mike ( the money man LOl ) and Salik we felt at ease and decided that we wanted to have these guys do our basement. We had them draw up the plans for the basement based on the concept of what we wanted the basement to look like. After this, a WhatsApp group was created for our project as well as our introduction to the Buildertrend App; these tools were used throughout the project to communicate and set up a schedule as to when certain aspects of the job are to be done. After the initial plans were drawn. We then met with the architects Hollis and Camilo at our home where they did a more detailed drawing. Hollis and Camilo were patient and professional and they listen carefully to what we wanted and came up with some ideas that would utilize the space more efficiently. Our next meeting was at Assure Basement's office and the showroom where we did all our colour selections and did a few further changes to the building plan. After meeting The General Manager Ryan, and Project manager Andrej. My wife and I felt even more comfortable with the team and at this point, we were confident we had the right company for the job. On the first day of construction, the worker bees all showed up on time led by Ryan, Andrej, Nathan the job supervisor and a slew of carpenters. Towards the end of the project, there were a few snags but, we dont live in a perfect world and we have to be realistic and know some things will happen that are out of our control. Whenever there were any issues they were addressed immediately or as soon as possible. The team went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the work being done. The finished product was Awesome: Assured Basement lived up to their promise of a job well done. All materials and products used were top quality. They built us a beautiful washroom shower stall and kitchen that took our breath away; in addition to building our basement they were able to build us a well needed powder room using a portion of our mud room. I thank Katarina and the kitchen crew for the beautiful kitchen. Guys, you and your entire team did a Great job. My family and I thank you all, I can't remember all your names so I am asking the management to give you guys a big word thanks on our behalf. I can't find enough words to express how happy we are with the job well done. Thanks Assure, as you grow please dont lose the quality of customer care and the quality of your work. After getting a multiple quote from different contarctors, I chose Assured Basement for my unfinished basement and that was the best decision for me. The quote was little highere than what we were expecting but we got the premium servise for that. Work was top notch quality and everyone was really professional in their work. Ryan and Mike both knows what they are doing and have a very clear vision. The best part of our experience was that everything was completed in timely manner given COVID situation and we never had to check on what they were doing untill the work was done. I am definitely working with them in future.

These folks know basements, and this showed from the moment we met Mike from Assured who left us more than impressed with a basement design we never would have considered and paved the way to the finished basement of our dreams.

From working with Ryan and Hollis at the design center helping with the finer details of our basement, to the care that Enrique, Daniel, Mila, Jorge and the other tradespeople had with finishing our basement, we felt we were in good hands every step of the way. Katarina helped immensely with renderings to help us visualize our wet bar design ideas, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

With that said, there were times where my wife and I felt that we could have used more frequent status updates on the schedule. We sometimes found that to fill these knowledge gaps, we had to initiate discussion to understand next steps. While this did resolve issues pertaining to timing of events, we hoped this information was more forthcoming.

Overall we are pleased with how our basement turned out and look forward to enjoying it for many years to come!

We interviewed at least 6-7 basement renovation companies before picking Assured Basements and are glad we did! Mike was easy to reach and spent two hours assessing our needs and giving us a quote by the end of the session which impressed us as we are both working professionals with young kids with limited time. The whole process was seamless and transparent:
1) a builder trend app is used to track progress, lists all the invoiced items and shows the schedule so you know exactly what youre paying for, and when things will be done, whose coming to your house.
2) there is a group WhatsApp which has the whole team addressing your needs and getting back to any inquiries right away.
3) the design centre has many choices and really nice standards - no other basement company does a piano oak staircase and a beautiful glass tiled shower as their standard.
4) price: they are reasonable and show you exactly what youre paying for with an itemized invoice on builder trend. So you can stay within budget
5) design: we love our floor plan that was proposed. In our townhome, we were able to fit a mini bar, a family room, a full bathroom, a small kids playroom and an area for a gym. They built storage doors under the staircase, around the furnace and a closet, giving us ample storage room.
6) team: a huge thank you to Mike, Ryan, Andrej, Nathan, Hollis, Katarina, and everyone else (painters, staircase expert, the baseboard installers, the framers) . By the end of this, they were like family and truly put care in our basement .
7) timeline: for the most part everything was on schedule, however by the end, the finishing took a couple of weeks longer than expected. This was immediately addressed in the WhatsApp group so we didnt feel ignored. And the quality of the job made up for the delay.

Assure Basements was 1 of 3 companies we had quote for our basement. All 3 quotes were in the same ball park but they took the time to explain everything and their design/planning in the first and second meetings were quite superior than the competition, it was an obvious choice. Once the design was complete a WhatApp chat was created where we were in constant contact with the construction management and design team. Any issues that was brought up was addressed quickly and professionally. Everyone on the team from Ryan (GM), Andrej (PM), Hollis (design), Leo (tiles), Dennis (shower glass), Peter and Jake (stairs and finisher) to framers were a pleasure to work with and handled all our questions /concerns without complaint. I would definitely recommend Assure Basements and would without a doubt use them again in the future if required.
