hired this company for some work

we hire this company turned out to be 1 person, we were over charged for everything materials that weren't used double delivery cost the work was quoted for 1day took 3, we had to constantly follow up to see if the guy was coming to work today . end result was half the work was done but we got bill for full work and mess was left for us to clean up but we paid him for it and workmanship was sad.
In the end its best to hire interview and ask for reference , we was very disappointed and keep in mind this is a unlicensed no insurance person who will not give you invoice or even contact address
