We recently had our bathroom renovated by Montemayor General Contracting and are thoroughly impressed with the outcome. The team installed a curbless shower with glass partitions and a free-standing tub, which have completely modernized the space. The addition of a customized niche adds a practical yet stylish touch to our bathroom.

We recently had Montemayor complete a renovation of the laundry space in our basement. We learned of their services through our neighbours who did a large scale renovation in the summer and who are now doing a 2nd large renovation of their basement. Its always a good sign when you invite contractors back!

Over the past 6 months we noticed Montemayor signs popping up at our neighbours houses, some of them even more than once. Seeing that they had repeat business next door gave us faith that they were doing great work, and we were right!

We have multiple jobs we want done throughout the house, and decided to start small with a closet renovation. We boarded up one wall (closet) and expanded it in the adjacent master bedroom.

The new wall looks perfect. Paint matches exactly, trim and chair molding looks like the original builders put it there (except brand new!). The closet is big, fresh, clean, symmetrical and functional.

The Montemayor team did their absolute best to keep construction dust contained. Plastic wrap was taped to the ceiling and walls creating a construction zone, and protective mats were put down the path of travel throughout our home.

I had some crazy ideas that Santiago graciously humoured for me, and even came up with solutions on how to get it done. We ultimately decided to go in a different direction to keep costs down, but the fact he took the time to work through it with me was extremely appreciated.

I could go on with even more examples of why they were so great to work with, but this review would turn into a novel. In the end, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Montemayor to anyone looking for a general contractor, and in fact have already done so.

We truly couldn't be more pleased with the work that Montemayor General Contracting did for us. They completely renovated 2 bathrooms (one standard, one large) both on time and on budget. Santiago and his crew were exceptionally professional and considerate from beginning to end. Even after the renovation was substantially done and paid for, they followed through promptly on all the little remaining details. For our basement, we wanted to change the carpet to laminate flooring and add a kitchenette (small cabinets, sink, counter, backsplash, fridge). After speaking to a few contractors, Santiago was the only contractor that I felt comfortable working with. Santiago helped us with ideas and planning throughout this project. He was communicative, honest, easy to work with and always on time! Santiago's team were amazing individuals that worked hard and made this construction project easy on us. Not only was the project was finished on time and on budget, they went above and beyond with their work (the details in their work was spotless). Since we were at home during the project, they covered the floors and basement entrance to make sure that the home didn't get dirty. My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about them! I had the pleasure of working with Montemayor General Contracting on two bathroom renos in my home. I never thought I'd associate the word "reno" with "pleasure" but that's how I felt upon the completion of this four-week job. I'm very pleased with the results! Santiago, Cesar and their team were efficient, professional and easy to work with. I knew I'd hired the right company when the crew arrived and began covering my floors in protective blue floor mats - from my back door and all the way upstairs. From there, the work progressed speedily without interruption. The crew and tradespeople arrived on time and worked hard. I was impressed by their attention to detail and by the quality of the workmanship. Santiago is personable, honest and has high standards, even extending to the final site clean-up.
