Work was done when promised and it was done well. The issue came with estimate cost vs actual cost. Robert estimated 9.5 hours of labour, stating it was likely high, but better to be high then low. Fair enough. The whole job took 5 hours though. That's a big difference, but after over a week of requests to get the final bill what he sent was higher then the estimate. He had forgotten to add a $200 charge to get rid of the soil the 10x9 pad had removed. I was okay with that even though it's a mistake on the businesses end a customer does not have to pay for, but asked why the 9.5 hours of labour hadn't been changed. He stated there was the time it took to take the soil for removal and returning of equipment as well I wasn't accounting for. Now remember I paid $200 separately now for this already, but I was here when he did the work, and when he left to do this. I stated I had my home security video showing he had done that during the 5 hours he was on location. There was around an hour and a half where only one person was on site, and you could see the vehicle leave with soil and the sod cutter, and come back empty. After offering to send him the videos of he wanted to break down the costs he stopped replying to any emails. He sent another invoice at the end of the month charging the original quoted estimate. While I will tell everyone else not to pay for what they shouldn't, the difference was about $200 and the work was done, so I paid it via e-transfer as he requested (also a bit concerning considering the issue). Bottom line the work was done, and what was expected. I'd suggest confirming with Robert about what he is charging for, and getting an itemized estimate and bill.
