TKG Home Renovations

Had a terrible experience with TKG Home Renovations and Pierre that cost me several thousand dollars in deposits that are yet to be refunded, so I have reported the incident and the company to the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery.

I first spoke to Pierre from TKG Home Renovations in early July and agreed on a couple jobs to be done in late July and I paid deposits in the order of several thousand dollars.

Initially the work was being delayed for understandable reasons such as the weather and I was patient and understanding especially that Pierre was actually reachable during that time, but when there was no excuse anymore and the jobs were still not being started, Pierre blamed his workers and offered a full refund in early August which I accepted, but I have been waiting on the refund for over a month and I am yet to receive anything.

On top of that, it has been a few weeks since I have heard anything from Pierre who has completely ghosted me and is no longer reachable via any form of communication we had been using (i.e. Phone, text, email..etc) although the company's instagram page has had several updates since which tells me he is online and seems to be completing other jobs.

In summary, I would not recommend doing any business with TKG Home Renovations as they do not respect their customers and their protected rights under the Consumer Protection Act and like myself you might find yourself losing thousands of dollars with nothing in return, but if you do then you should report it to the ministry as well because such companies should not be doing business nor allowed in/near people's homes.
