We found this company on this site and read the great reviews so we decided to give them a call. Dennis Collett came to our home to investigate the job that needed to be done. He asked questions and provided us with his professional knowledge to do the job in the best way. The next day he arrived with his tools and did a fantastic job. Dennis was quick and precise with the job that he completed. He even spoke to my brother on the telephone as he was to place a tv bracket after the outlet was installed and he wanted him to understand what needed to be done after the job and I thought that this was quite helpful to my brother. For an excellent job well done....we highly recommend Dennis and GWE.

We had been abandoned by our previous electrician close to completion. I had a difficult time getting a response from other electricians for such a small job. The issue became urgent as we needed to be ready for inspection. Dennis came at short notice and solved a complicated mystery wiring that the other electricians incompetence had left. Unlike our previous experience, Dennis did the work himself instead of sending in an army of apprentices. I will certainly use GWE again in the future.

I love this site, I have had nothing but good experiences with contractors found here and this was no exception. I had 7 light fixtures replaced one of which was in the stairwell and not easy to get at. Dennis and Terry arrived bright and early, and were efficient, professional, and just really nice to deal with! They did a great job and went the extra mile, taking time to make sure that the awkwardly designed fixtures I had chosen was securely assembled - they also moved one of the fixtures they had removed to replace a long-broken fixture elsewhere in the house that I hadn't even planned on dealing with, and at no charge. (Thank you!!!!) :) Will definitely be calling them for future work and would highly recommend them.

I was expecting my new kitchen cabinets to arrive sometime in January but the contractor surprised me with a pre-Chistmas delivery. It was less than ten days until Christmas, the cabinets were ready to come in and I had a wall filled with electrical, phone & cable outlets to be moved on short notice. Called several Homestars electricians who either said no or promised to have a look but never showed. Then I called Dennis and everything changed. He was out to see me within hours and sent me a quote that evening. Within a day he'd freed up a half a day to come in with another electrician to do it all.
The quote was higher than I expected but I accepted it to get the job down. I got far more than I paid for though. Dennis provides incredible service, explains what needs doing and why, he's very personable and watches the details. Best of all I have complete confidence that my kitchen is safely wired. And the cabinets came in two days later so all was well in the end. Thanks Dennis

I had to change my old fuse panel to breakers and add 6 dedicated lines, after a few estimates, I called GWE, Dennis was in my place in no time, went around and I could tell right away that he was the most experienced and knowledgeable of them all, friendly, corteous and professional. When he sent me a written estimate, I also knew that he was the most honest of the bunch. The work was done in a day, with very minimal damage to the walls, I was amazed how Dennis and Terry fished those wires with such ease.I was so pleased that I hired them again to do some work at my son's house. Dennis,Terry you are the best! You both have a wonderful Xmas, and a Happy new year.

Dennis was true to his initial quote even though the job turned out to be more than he expected! He was reliable and respectful, as was his assistant. When there was a problem that required him to come back, he did so without a problem! I am a happy customer and will recommend this company to my friends.

I never write reviews but Dennis did such a great job I feel strongly about recommending him to as many people as I can. His experience, honesty, integrity and professionalism makes working with him a breeze. Dennis problem solved the job with care, treated it like it was his home. Very reasonably priced, in fact value for money when you consider the exceptional customer service.

Dennis is a master and he explains things in a very clear and logical way. His colleague Terry looks at things a different way and between the two of them, they find the most effective and least invasive way to solve each problem. I'm very happy with Terry's work. He plowed through the list of tasks, hardly taking a break. His problem-solving skills, experience and determination were evident in the way he tackled the 3-way on the outside wall and the mystery of the dead wiring to the back of the house. It was a long day and I know his family were waiting to see him, but he never complained and he got it all done. I won't hesitate to use this company's services again and recommend them to my friends and family.

Our home has aluminum wiring and was experiencing frequent blown circuits. We contacted 4 electrical contractors, all highly rated by Home Star, for estimates. We were most impressed by Dennis's full explanations and his thorough review and testing of individual circuits and outlets before providing a written quote.

The work consisted of replacing our outdated 38 year old fuse panel with a circuit breaker panel and pigtailing all aluminum wired outlets, switches and built-in light fixtures throughout the house.

Dennis and his crew completed the work as scheduled in a clean and professional manner at the estimated cost. He was also most accomodating in incorporating late changes to our selection of switches and non-standard colors as last minute decorative improvements we requested.
