I am forever indebted to my best friend and her husband for referring Claudio to us. He is your dream contractor! Home renovations are such a stressful undertaking, but he and his team do their best to minimize the pain. They are professional, courteous and friendly, with all of the work completed on a timely basis and of high quality workmanship. Most importantly, he stayed on budget (anything that went over budget for us was due to things that we chose to add during the course of the project).

We had wanted to renovate our kitchen for a long time, but because of previous experiences with different contractors and trades, we did not trust anyone to come to do our renovation. We were also tired of being told what we could not do with our kitchen and what we could not have, based on space limitations. When the renovation became a necessity, my friend convinced me to call Referred Renovators. Claudio brought along a designer to our first meeting and asked us to forget about what we were previously told and to give them our wish list. From this, they created a design and built our dream kitchen. We actually expanded the project to include most of the first floor of our home.

From the start, Claudio, Jim and their crew treated us like family. Claudio checked in with us at the end of every day (and they make sure that everything is cleaned up at the end of the day), responded promptly to texts and phone calls, told us what to expect the next day and going forward, provided updates on timelines, did not overextend himself with other jobs while working on ours (they only work on one project at a time), and even assisted us with some design choices (Claudio has a great eye for colour and design). We valued his suggestions and trusted his input and loved the results.

When our next door neighbours needed a contractor to renovate their home, they asked everyone they knew for a referral. We were the only ones who would refer our contractor as everyone else had bad experiences or were not happy enough with the work that was done.

We have since contacted Claudio to help with our fireplace (which was installed by someone else and exploded twice), and hired Referred Renovators to do an office renovation. We referred him to five other people, all of whom have used his services and have been so happy with his work and who would not hesitate to contact him again for any future work.

What started as a leap of faith became a wonderful relationship with Claudio and his team. When the project was completed, we were sad to see them move on to their next job. They truly were like family who came for a wonderful visit and then had to leave. We are reminded every day of how fortunate we are to have found Claudio and his team when we look at our beautiful kitchen.

During our first renovation, we used a different company and encountered problems with the contractor. One tradesman recommended we use Referred Renovators for future renovations when he saw the subpar work being done. We are so glad he did. When it came time to renovate our second bathroom, we used Referred Renovators. They were so fantastic we had them back for our kitchen renovation, laundry room renovation and basement renovation (2017-2022).

We cant say enough good things about Referred Renovators. Claudio, Jim and their team go above and beyond. They take pride in their work and genuinely care about the homeowner. They treat you like family and at the end of each renovation, we were sad to see them go.

Claudio kept us apprised of every phase of the renovations, as well as any changes or issues, and everything was handled competently and professionally. He gave us a report each day of what was done and what was planned for the next day. This constant communication was amazing.

There were no delays in the work. Referred Renovators were committed to the job. We liked that they only work on one job at a time. Once they start, they stay until it is completed and dont leave to start another job.

The materials Referred Renovators use are high-end top quality. They don't cut corners and fix small things they find, even if it wasn't in the original plan.

We used Referred Renovators again in 2022 for a basement renovation at a family member's home and in 2023 to add garage access from the house and a mud room. The added door is high quality and the landing/stairs they built inside the garage is solid and sturdy. Amazing quality. Built to last!
