I started TeiJi (Tay-ghee) Carpentry over 4 years ago in Kelowna where I worked for just one general contractor the whole time. Im now in Kamloops working for a renovation company and my goal now is on a slow transition to focus on my sole proprietorship and individual clients. I was working full time in Kamloops here but have since gone down to part time so that I can put more focus into my business. I am just looking to fill a few days during the week. I prefer small jobs but if you can be flexible with your timeline I will definitely consider larger jobs. If I submit a proposal its because I am confident I have the required skillset to complete the job in a timely manner. If I dont take your request please know its because I either dont feel I have the required skills or the job is too large/too far for me to take on at the current moment but I do see every request. I am a journeyman carpenter of the last 20 years focusing on a wide variety of skills mostly in the finishing/drywall, restoration and renovation sectors. If any repairs are needed whether its from water/fire damage, rough housing, weather, aged materials, pets, moving damage or just in need if a fresh look, I can repair it back to new. I have most of my 20 year experience in baseboard and casing, painting, drywall, mud and tape, insulation, framing, furniture builds, decks and fences, laminate flooring and much more. Just ask. I can give quotes or do an hourly rate. My hourly rate is $50/hr with my minimum being $100. I do quality work and because I have little overhead right now I can do it for quite a smaller amount compared to an established company. I have been doing most types of exterior renovations for the past 6 years, full time. The majority of jobs I have done have been deck builds, rebuilds, repairs and specialized in installing vinyl. Indoor flooring, Woodworking and DIY type projects are some other things that have always interested me and have been doing years previous, to that as well. Weekdays I work full time until late afternoon, with most evenings and weekends free to do smaller projects for others in the Kamloops area.
