We had two pergolas installed by this company in November 2020. While the installation itself went smoothly, our experience since then has been disappointing. Within four years, parts of two transparent UV-filter roof panels have broken and fallen off. We contacted the company in late 2024, but their responsiveness has been very poor. After multiple follow-ups, they quoted us C$800–1,000 for repairs—without inspecting the damage first. It's still unclear whether this quote covers just the broken sections or a full roof replacement. What’s especially frustrating is that we weren’t given any roofing material options at the time of installation. We later discovered that stronger, thicker polycarbonate sheets are widely available and commonly used. Had we been informed, we would have gladly paid more for better durability. Several friends' similar pergolas are going strong(10+ years) with sturdier sheets used. We expected more transparency and better service from a professional installer.

We had an excellent experience last fall with Logik Roofing and Insulation. We used them for insulation and to ensure our bathroom vents were properly vented through the roof. We needed all new insulation in our attic after mold removal. They were fast and efficient, and honest. The quote was good and reasonable, but once Mark and his crew arrived to do their work they realized we didn’t need a couple of things we had been quoted, so they adjusted the quote for us. They were able to come out and do their quote within a day or two of contacting them. And they were able to do the job about a week later, maybe less than that. The crew that came to work was friendly, prompt, and made sure everything was clean, and that we were happy. I spent a lot of time researching the best possible company, and I’m so happy to recommend them. After posting the job and getting in touch with Vanessa and team, I noticed right away how she and team pay attention to every detail, reply quickly and professionally, and stand by their word - great communication! After starting the work (bathroom reno), Liviu and team were very considerate to make sure there was as little dust and noise around the work area as possible due to small children in the house. They were quick to find solutions at no extra cost to some surprises along the way as part of the demo (reinforcing the subfloor, making recommendations and fixing a couple of one-off items outside the original scope of work). Chris was great to work with. He and his team came out to lay an interlock 60mm parking pad/basketball court. It was booked and done very quickly and looks great! I interviewed 7 eavestrough contractors over 2.5 weeks. CT Exteriors was number 7. And even though I had really already made up my mind with another company, I waited 3 days for Tyler come to quote the job because I was impressed with the intro conversations. At the end of the day I chose them because of their excellent reviews and warranty. Price matters but I need to feel trust - foremost. That day went from chilly to rainy to humid. At various times I saw Tyler on his hands and knees on the top roof, balancing on the edge of my lower roof and even on his belly trying get the downspouts exactly right. I'm hands-on so i had a million questions but Tyler was kind enough to include me in the decisions. The work is quality. Glad there are still conscientious, skilled tradesman who care abt their clients and stand behind their work. I would highly recommend West Hill Landscaping and Mike. He was a professional and took a lot of care in explaining the quote and the job and the areas of risk. His price was very reasonable compared to several other contractors and he really took the time to do a thorough job where I was never in doubt about the quality. He sought our input along the way and also really made sure my neighbors were okay as some of the work affected them. He took a lot of time to do the grading ensuring water flowed the right way.
