The first plumber who came installed our new kitchen sink incorrectly. He did not follow the manufacturer's instructions, which distorted the area around the drain. This resulted in water pooling around the drain. The new faucet he installed was defective. The curvature of the spout directed water to the side. He insisted that there wasn't anything wrong with it, and insisted on proceeding with the install. This complicated returning the defective faucet. Worse than all this, he was impatient and rude. He was in a hurry to leave. I informed our contractor that we didn't want him back in our house. The second plumber from ExpressRooter had better people skills. However, after he opened the basket strainers and removed the plumber's putty that was causing the distortion, he stated that the sink was defective (water was still pooling around the drain) without admitting that the incorrect installation could have been the cause. He re-installed a water filter tap backwards while insisting that was the only way it could be installed. He did a poor job installing new taps in our powder room, which resulted in a second visit. We don't want to see him again, or any other plumber from ExpressRooter.

Company Response

We aren't sure how plumbers putty causes the base of a stainless steal sink to warp, but we can see how it could cause the strainer basket to be slightly too high. We admit Majid didn't follow manufacturer's specs, but not to the point of causing a warped sink. We wish you the best in solving your sink issue. As far as the water filter tap, it is installed as per specs. Customer experience is important to us and it's clear we failed in your case. The Expressrooter Plumbing team.
