This is the second time we've used Matthew for built-in cabinet work due to his skill and attention to detail. He is wonderful to consult with, coupling exceptional craftsmanship with great design aesthetic. In this project, we added a built-in cabinet for the bedroom, closet storage + makeup vanity for the walk-in, and a new bench seat plus cabinet for the bay window. His ability to adapt his work to the space is an absolute essential in homes over 60 years old (ours is 120). We wouldn't work with anyone else for custom millwork.

Edward was amazing, showed up same day and quickly identified the issue with my dryer not heating. He was able to fix it immediately and made recommendations on how to prevent it from happening again. He separately took the time to walk me through some mold issues in my washer and provided a regiment on how to treat it. All in all someone who is supremely knowledgeable on appliances and wants to help homeowners avoid repairs in the future.

Matthew crafted the most spectacular custom unit for our mudroom (a newly enclosed front porch). He built us a cabinet unit with open shelves, wraparound stained bench seating, a custom coat rack and did the crown moulding work. He was excellent from start to finish, taking our initial ideas and improving on them, and enhancing visualization with highly polished design documents. Once work commenced, he was extremely efficient while paying close attention to every detail, angle and measurement. He was also able to fix up a disastrous custom build in our family room we had ordered from a different less capable woodworker, and improved it so much we can actually enjoy the space now. We are ecstatic about the finished mudroom result, the only problem being it is now the nicest room in our house. We'd endorse Matthew to anyone doing a custom build, and recommend getting on his calendar very early as his skills are in high demand.

I've used Russell and team on two siding jobs now, and they are the first contractors in which I can say I am always getting better than I had hoped. They don't take shortcuts - every angle is perfect, every seam is sealed, and finishings are immaculate. Several times now I'd remarked to my spouse that I was pleasantly surprised they went the extra step on something, because it wasn't specifically in the contract. It's like they treat the houses they work on as if they were doing their own, and it's very much appreciated.

I had to replace poorly installed and leaking skylights and shingles on a house addition. One of the best contracting experiences to date. The company instantly set up an inspection for two days from when I called, vs other companies that wouldn't call back or even said they didn't want the business. Sebastien kept in constant contact and answered all questions. I was at home during the installation and able to see the work through my upstairs window. While they were fast, no corners were cut. Proper flashing was installed on the skylights, every seam was caulked. They installed a ridge vent which we had not had before or expected but was required per the roof setup. All in all a very positive experience.

I've used Mud Monkeys on several occasions now. Darby is likely the most responsive contractor I've ever worked with, whether regarding quoting, consultation, responding to issues, etc. We lowered our basement and had no issues passing inspection. If there are bumps along the way, they take responsibility to fix them.

I needed to have soffits and fascia covered due to rotting wood and squirrels in several locations. I was also interested in redoing the siding. The team was fantastic in coming by on several occasions to discuss options, and in pricing and rescaling the job to fit my budget. I was very impressed with the look of the final product, and was pleased by the little touches they did like fixing up the areas the squirrels had damaged, properly routing previously insufficient eavestrough drainage, adding insulation, and more. Would highly recommend this company.

Found this company on Homestars.ca. I was moving into a new home and knew I needed to replace the chimney. Andy gave me a realistic general expectation of costs even before seeing the chimney, and assured me that the crew would be able to come as soon as I had taken ownership. As promised, once I called after moving in, I received an estimate within a day, and they were there to do the work within 2 days of signing the quote. The cost was right in the mid-range of what the home inspector had estimated. The job looks great from my admittedly unprofessional perspective. Highly recommend this team.

S&Sons was the most realistic moving company I've come across. They told us the fee per hour, told us what would make for the fastest move (making sure everything is packed, bringing everything to a central main floor location, pre-wrapping... although they did all of this for the items we were not able to.) Their quote was likely going to be 6 hours, and we added a whole bunch of baby furniture to the move in the interim. It came in at 9 hours. The folks were friendly and worked non-stop. Jeremy
